Friends of Yorktown Parks and Recreation and MB Pickleball is announcing a fundraising Pickleball Tournament to be held on April 30-May 1 at Granite Knolls Park, Mohegan Lake. All proceeds will fund the “Light up the Courts” initiative recently launched by the organization. Yorktown Pickleball is part of the Friends of Yorktown Parks and Recreation Committee. Yorktown’s Granite Knolls complex has six new state of the art courts, with a huge following of players. The need to extend the hours of play is being driven by the large number of residents interested in playing the fastest growing sport in the country. The lights will add hours of additional court time each day.

Auction - There will be an auction on Sat and Sunday with many exceptional items. Please make sure you check out these tables at the Tournament.

Time: Competition each day will begin approximately at 8:00 AM. The final event schedule will be emailed to players after registration closes. Specific start times for each event will be posted and emailed to players 1 day before the event. There will be scheduled events throughout the day

Events:

Men's Doubles

3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 and above Skill levels

Women's Doubles

3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 and above Skill levels

Format for ALL EVENTS will be determined by the amount of entries.

Skill levels may be broken down by age depending on the amount of registrations.

Sunday 5/1/22

Mixed Co-ed Scramble

{This event is for RECREATIONAL PLAYERS just looking to play with similar level players.}

Round Robin Scramble Format - Fun for all in this event. It will be like a day of pickleball maybe meeting new people. You do not sign up with a partner in this event.

Mixed Doubles:

3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 and above Skill levels

Awards: Gold, Silver, Bronze

Ball: TBD

Tournament Director has the right to make any changes necessary for this tournament to be a success.

Granite Knowles Park is just 2 years old and is the premier Pickleball facility in the Hudson Valley. This is state-of-the-art facility including 2 artificial turf fields , regulation Baseball field, Basketball courts, Handball courts and of course 6 dedicated Pickleball courts, it’s a place where there is something for everyone. Please Help us light up the Pickleball courts in this fun filled day!

There are no rain dates. In the event of a rain out day the tournament will refund 50% of the registration cost. The rest of the fees will be applied to the cause. Remember this is a fundraiser and we appreciate all donations. If you don't want your money back and want to Donate please let us know. Thanks
