Loudoun Pickleball Club 1st Summer Masters Slam Championship!

This is a non-sanctioned indoor tournament being held at the Life Time Loudoun with 50+ Age & Skill Divisions in Men's and Women's Singles, Men's and Women's Doubles, and Mixed Doubles. The tournament will also feature Open Divisions within each of the Men's and Women's and Mixed events with Prizes awarded to the Top Teams/Players. Matches will take place on 6 inside pickleball courts

TOURNAMENT DATES:

7/11 Thursday - Men's & Women's 65+ Doubles

- Men's & Women's 50+ 2.5-3.0 Doubles

- 50+ Scrambles

7/12 Friday - Men's & Women's 50+ Singles (All Day)

- Paddle Demo Round Robin (Afternoon/Evening)

7/13 Saturday - Men's & Women's 50+ Doubles (All Day)

7/14 Sunday - Mixed 50+ Doubles (All Day)

Registration is $45 per player (Plus PPB service fee $5/10) before July 2nd that includes 2 Events. $20 for each additional event. The PickleBall Brackets service fee of $5 per event or a maximum of $10 when registering for 2 or more events is nonrefundable. Late Registration after July 2nd is $55 (Plus PPB service fee $5/10). Any partner swaps after 6/30 will be charged an addition $25 fee.

We are a non-profit 501(c)3 WLC Pickleball DBA Loudoun Pickleball Club and all of the monies raised goes back into Loudoun Pickleball.

RULES & FORMAT:

This is not a USAPA sanctioned event; however, all USAPA 2024 rules will apply.

Brackets will be either Double Elimination or Round Robin depending on the number of participating teams/players. Tournament Director reserves the right to adjust the Bracket Format or skill levels as needed.

Double Elimination bracket matches will be1 games to 15 win by 2 in the Winners' Bracket and 1 game to 11 win by 2 in the Consolation Bracket. Teams/players in the Consolation Bracket will have a chance to advance back into the medal rounds. Gold Medal and Bronze Medal matches will be 1 game to 15 win by 2. If time allows gold medal matches will be changed to best of 2 out of 3 to 11 win by 2. Tournament Director reserves the right to adjust the Match Format and skill level as needed.

Round Robin bracket matches will be either 1 games to 11 win by 2 or 1 game to 15 win by 1. Medals in the Round Robin brackets will be determined based on play results. Tournament Director reserves the right to adjust the Match Format as needed.

Medals will be awarded to the top 3 teams/players in each bracket.

Format

Changes may be made as necessary to any/all brackets at the discretion of the tournament director up to the start of play of each bracket.

Teams must be fully registered within 5 days or will be moved to Wait List.

Tournament Director reserves the right to adjust and/or combine brackets and/or move players into the appropriate division based on skill level. If partners skill levels are not equal, players are expected to play the skill level of the higher rated player.

3 Ways Ties:

Do not leave the event without checking the playoff brackets. There is an issue in the software that has not been updated to address the new rule on how to determine tie-breaking in a 3-team tie. The PBB software is currently not able to automate how to calculate a 3 way tie and will be manually updated. The 3 way tie will be done with point differential, then the remaining two players/teams tie breaking criteria will start over with wins, then head to head.

The Cancellation Deadline is 6/30/24. Full refunds (less the Pickleball Brackets nonrefundable service fee) will be given through this date; however, there will be no refunds after this date. There will be an additional $25 fee for any partner swaps after 6/30/24
