Tournament Description
WELCOME TO THE 3rd ANNUAL LUCK OF THE IRISH TOURNAMENT
Plan to join in the fun and camaraderie in the Heritage Park Pavilion, Stony Plain, Alberta.
This is a Pickleball Canada SANCTIONED tournament.
TOURNAMENT DETAILS
This tournament will follow a round robin format followed by a single elimination pre-medal round, then medal rounds.
• Womens Doubles - Friday, March 15
• Mixed Doubles - Saturday, March 16
• Mens Doubles - Sunday, March 17
4 Skill Levels - 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 and Above
AGE GROUPS
Players will register in their appropriate skill level. At the the time of registration there will be only one age group, e.g., ANY AGE. When registration closes the players will be broken into groups based on the age of teams signed up.
If a higher skill level does not have 6 teams or a multiple of 6 teams and the next lower skill level has a wait list, then the highest rated team in the lower skill level will be asked if they wish to play up and a team from the wait list will be incorporated into the lower skill level.
REGISTRATION DATES
Registration opens February 14, 2024, 10:00 a.m. Mountain Time and closes on March 11, 2024, 6:00 p.m. Mountain Time.
SATURDAY DINNER
This year we will again be hosting an "ALL THINGS IRISH SUPPER ON THE COURTS" on the evening of Saturday, March 16th after play concludes. Guests will enjoy a homemade Irish meal (tickets available at registration), Irish beer & whiskey (tickets available at the venue) and Irish music. Bring a guest or come by yourself and enjoy the evening!! Tickets must be purchased online by March 11, 2024, 6:00 p.m.
REGISTRATION
All registrants MUST be a Pickleball Canada member in good standing to play in this tournament. Please ensure your Pickleball Canada Membership number and your skill level are up to date in your pickleballbrackets.com profile before registering for this tournament. If you are not a Pickleball Canada member, you can become a member at https://www.pickleballcanada.org/
COST
• Registration - $65 INCLUDES one event, second event $20. Please note there is an additional small online processing fee that will be added at the time of checkout.
• Tickets for the IRISH SUPPER ON THE COURTS are $25 and available as you register for the Tournament. Last day to order tickets for the supper is March 11, 2024, 6:00 p.m.
• Practice Court Bookings will also be available at registration for the days preceding the tournament.
• Registration is through Pickleball Brackets where you must have established a player profile. If you do not currently have a Pickleball Brackets profile we highly recommend you create one prior to registration opening. NOTE: Your Pickleball Canada number must be entered into your Pickleball Brackets player profile (Association Numbers ... #6)
• To guarantee a spot in the tournament, the second partner must register within THREE days of the first partner's registration. Teams that are incomplete after THREE days will be moved to the waiting list. When the second partner registers, the team will be entered into the event only IF THERE IS STILL ROOM IN THE EVENT. When entering your partner you will be prompted to search if they have a Pickleball Brackets player profile. If they do have an account select them there. If they do not have an account you will be prompted to enter their name and an email address for them. Make sure you use the email they will use to set up their Pickleball Brackets account.
• Online waiver acceptance is used. Waiver can be reviewed by downloading it.
• Online payment via PayPal. PayPal allows credit and debit card payments.
The organizing committee reserves the right to cap the number of registrants on any one day of the tournament when the facilities/schedule reach capacity. The tournament reserves the right to combine brackets at their sole discretion based on participation numbers.
PICKLEBALL CANADA REGISTRATION REQUIREMENT
This is a Pickleball Canada sanctioned tournament. All registrants must be members in good standing through March 17, 2024, to play in this tournament.

It is important that players who do not yet have a CTPR because they have not participated in their first sanctioned event go to the following link at PCO and complete the requested online player questionnaire. SKILL RATING
• Players must enter events based (1) upon their current CTPR Tournament rating, (2) their Pickleball Brackets profile tournament rating or (3) self rating. Players may play up in skill within 0.5 of the event bracket. The tournament reserves the right to move players and teams between skill level brackets if on verification the wrong event has been entered.
EQUIPMENT and FACILITIES
• Players must use USAP approved paddles
• No player apparel allowed that is similar colour as the ball (Orange)
• Official Tournament Ball - Onix Fuse indoor ball - Orange
• 6 Indoor Courts - the only lines on the floor are the Pickleball Court lines
• Large spacious wash/change rooms adjacent to the courts
• Water fountain and bottle filler adjacent to courts
Practice courts will be available to book for the three days prior to the tournament. $40 for two hours (payable online through your tournament profile) Time slots: 2:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m.
Cancellation deadline is March 11, 2024. No refunds for any reason after that date. Cancellations prior to that date are subject to a $15 administration fee. Your spot in the tournament is not guaranteed until you and your partner have registered and all fees have been paid in full.

We have a listing of time slots in the tournament listing. If you can referee please indicate your interest in by selecting the referee button above. Medal games will be reffed and every effort will be made to ref most of the matches.
ON SITE CONCESSION
During the day from 11am to 2pm there will be a small concession including sandwiches, chips and water available for purchase. A player refreshment table will be available for players in the player lounge.
Refund Policy
Withdrawal deadline is March 11, 2024, 12:00 p.m.. No refunds for any reason after that date. Withdrawals prior to that date are subject to a $15 administration fee. All refund requests will be processed the week of March 18th, 2024.
