Come play in the world's largest Valentine's Day pickleball tournament in the world's largest indoor pickleball facility!!! Southern Pickleball's Macon Love will repeat as the biggest tournament on Valentine's Day weekend.

Tournament schedule -

Friday, February 14th - Men's Singles and Women's Doubles

Saturday, February 15th - Mixed Doubles

Sunday, February 16th - Women's Singles and Men's Doubles.

Competition each day may begin as early as 8:00 AM except Friday where brackets will begin at noon. Specific start times for each event will be posted and emailed to players approximately one week prior to the event. No brackets will start after 4:30 PM.

Format of play will be round robin. Medal rounds will follow the round robin play if the bracket size is over 3 teams.

As registration proceeds, tournament management reserves the option to combine brackets as needed if brackets do not fill. If brackets are combined to create playable brackets, awards will be based on the original division and not the combined bracket. Brackets will be combined by age if possible to avoid combining skills.

Skills levels include 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, 5.0+.

Age groups are 18+, 35+, 50+, 60+, 70+

A team must play at the skill level of the higher rated player (or higher) and the age group of the younger player. Age is calculated as of 12/31/2025.

RATINGS

- Southern Pickleball will be using DUPR Ratings. You must have a DUPR ID to register. All matches will be reported to DUPR.

You may register and identify your partner or request "Need partner". Your partner must register within five days of your registration or the team will be moved to the wait list. When the identified partner registers after the five day grace period, the team will automatically move from the wait list back to the active list if there is a slot available and both teams have paid. If a player needs a partner, the team will automatically move from the wait list to the active list once a partner is identified, registers, and both players have paid if there is an available slot to move to. NOTE: Your spot in the tournament is not guaranteed until your partner has registered and all fees have been paid in full.

There are no referees. Matches are self-monitored.

Players who do not show up for their event and fail to notify the tournament director prior OR leave the event without notifying the tournament director after it has started are subject to a $25 fine. The fine must be paid before registering for any other Huntsville.org events.

On January 20th, the tournament staff will move players whose DUPR ratings have changed since registering for this tournament. Players with DUPR reliability rating of 50% or lower may appeal their current rating after registering.

The Southern Pickleball Association adheres to the guidelines set forth in the USA Pickleball Rulebook. All gameplay, officiating, and judgment decisions during our events are based on these rules to ensure consistency and fairness for all players.

We encourage all participants to familiarize themselves with the USA Pickleball Rulebook to understand the standards and expectations that govern our games. In addition, the Southern Pickleball Association allows paddles that are on the official USA Pickleball paddle list. It is the player's responsibility to make sure their paddle is currently approved by USA Pickleball for tournament play. https://equipment.usapickleball.org/paddle-list/

This is an indoor tournament, so there are no weather-related refunds. The last day to withdraw and receive a refund is January 20, 2025. Cancellations prior to that date are subject to a $15 administration fee. Your spot in the tournament is not guaranteed until your partner has registered and all fees have been paid in full.

Southern Pickleball offers tournament insurance to players. Tournament insurance covers weather related cancelations, withdrawal due to injury or family emergency. If all events are missed, a player purchasing tournament insurance will be refunded 100 percent of their registration & event fees. If a player plays in an event and other events are missed, the player will be refunded the event fee for the canceled event.

A player's registration is non-transferable.

All Start times for Sunday are delayed by two hours due to a morning tornado warning in Macon. . Player Check in will begin at 9:00.
