The mission of the Maine Senior Games is to provide athletic events and wellness opportunities to improve the health and fitness of people 45 and over.
For many, the thrill of competing in an athletic event never ends. Thanks to the Maine Senior Games, adults age 45 and older can continue to participate and compete in annual athletic and recreational events. Maine Senior Games is a great opportunity for older adults to have fun and stay fit.
Skill levels will be 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, and 4.5 Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles. Singles and doubles will have both Women's and Men's. We will have the following age brackets; 40-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80+ in all skill levels.
Preliminary play schedule will be-
Singles All Friday June 19th starting at 3:00PM
Women's Doubles Saturday June 20th starting at 9:00AM
Men's Doubles Saturday June 20th starting at 1:00PM
Mixed All Sunday June 21st starting at various times by level
These are not set days and times. Days and times may change as the we get closer to the tournament starting date.
Play will be round Robin pool play with medal rounds in each bracket. Round Robin play will be games first to 11 win by 1. Number of players moving on to medal rounds will depend on number of pools in bracket and number of players in pool.
Cost this year is $50.00 which includes one event, $5.00 for second and another $5.00 for the third.
Brackets may be combined by age and or skill level for play. Because this is a Senior Games Nationals qualifying year, qualifying will still be at the original registration skill and age.
