Tournament Description

Welcome to the Mason Dixon Paddle Battle hosted by LFG Tourneys, LLC. This tournament will be held at York Adams Community Tennis Association (YACTA) in Hanover, PA on Friday November 3rd through Sunday November 5th, 2023. You will have the opportunity to play singles, doubles, and mixed events with amateur skill levels ranging from 3.0-4.5. Medals will be awarded for first, second, and third place. Additionally, there will be OPEN events with Prize $$$.

Format:

DOUBLES AMATEUR EVENTS

~3.0 - 4.5 events with run Round Robin one game to 11, win by 2, with all teams/players advancing into bracket play after the round robin seeding. Brackets will be double elimination, games to 15, win by 2, no come around. Medal matches will be best 2 out of 3, games to 11, win by 2.

AMATEUR SINGLES 3.0-3.5

~ Round Robin, three pools of five, one game to 11, win by 2, top three players in each pool advancing into bracket play. Brackets will be double elimination, games to 15, win by 2, no come around. Medal matches will be best 2 out of 3, games to 11, win by 2.

MIXED DOUBLES OPEN and MENS SINGLES OPEN

~Traditional - Best 2 out of 3, games to 11, win by 2. Double elimination. Consolation Bracket games to 15, win by 2.

MENS GENDER DOUBLES OPEN (16 teams)

~ Round Robin, two pools of 8, games to 11, win by 2. Top five teams from each pool advancing to bracket play. Winners bracket, best two out of three. Loser bracket, game to 15, win by 2. Double elimination, no come around. Gold and Bronze medal matches, best two out of three.

WOMENS GENDER DOUBLES OPEN (10 teams)

~ Round Robin, two pools of 5, games to 15, win by 2. Top three teams from each pool advancing to bracket play. Winners bracket, best 2 out of 3. Loser bracket, game to 15, win by 2. Double elimination, no come around. Gold and Bronze medal matches, best two out of three.

*Tournament Directors have the right to make changes to format, adjust age brackets, or other items if needed.

Singles play on Friday November 3, 2023.

Amateur and Open Gender Doubles play on Saturday November 4, 2023.

All Mixed events play on Sunday November 5, 2023.

Bonus - pklmart will be on site Saturday and Sunday and will provide match analysis for many of the players, depending on bracket size and match location.

Registration includes a free T-shirt to all who register by October 13th. A limited number of shirts will be available for purchase at the tournament. Please join us for this fun and competitive weekend full of pickleball!! LFG!!!

Additional Information

*Parking* For singles players, playing on Friday evening, please do not arrive before 4:00pm if possible. YACTA is behind Emory H Markle Middle School and the carline for student pick-up will start to fill up from 3:00-3:45pm. If you do arrive early, you cannot park in the school lot. You must park in the designated spots at Yacta or along the grass surrounding yacta.

Our event is indoor and not subject to weather conditions. If you are registered and paid, we anticipate your attendance. In the event that a bracket does not have sufficient teams, the Tournament Director reserves the right to combine brackets by level and/or age.

Water and snacks will be available to players.

You must show a photo ID with your birthdate to check-in. Please check-in a minimum of 30 minutes prior to your event start time each day that you play. If the tournament is running early, your event can start up to 30 minutes before the scheduled start time.

Refund Policy

Refunds (minus a $20 fee) will be allowed up to October 29, 2023 (close of registration).

No refunds will be offered after the close of registration, except in the unforeseen circumstance of an event cancellation in which Full refunds will be granted.

Note - Pickleballbrackets.com charges a separate administration fee at checkout that is non-refundable at any time if you are placed into an event. There is $5 fee for the first event and $10 fee for two or more events.

Prize Money

Medals and Prize money will be paid out for all OPEN events! If less than 8 teams in an Open Bracket, prize money will be adjusted accordingly.

WD and MD Open - Gold=$1000/team, Silver=$300/team, Bronze=$150/team.

MXD Open - Gold = $1000/team, Silver=$300/team, Bronze=$150/team.

Singles Open - Gold = $500, Silver=$100, Bronze=$50.

Parking Information

Parking Fee: No Fee

Venue is behind Emory H Markle Middle School. *For players on Friday night, please do not arrive before 4:00pm as the middle school has carline for student pick up and it will make parking very challenging between 3:00 and 3:45pm. On Saturday and Sunday, YACTA has approximately 20 designated parking spaces and overflow will be along the road in the grassy area by the facility.
