The Alice is getting pickled with the first-ever NT Pickleball Championships 😍 scheduled on Aug3-4, 2024.

Any member of Pickleball Australia can enter.

This is a Pickleball Australia SANCTIONED tournament.

This is designated as a Tier 3 tournament, where players can gain Australian Ranking (AR) points.

This tournament will use the current Global Pickleball Federation rules. They can be found at: https://globalpickleballfederation.org/pickleball-rulebook/

The schedule of events will be:

Saturday Aug 3: April: Men's Doubles, Women's Doubles, Para doubles, Singles pool play

Sunday Aug 4: April: Singles (semis and finals); Mixed Doubles

Registration is $60 which includes entry into one event. Each additional event costs $. Players can enter a maximum of 3 events - one per day.

REGISTRATION

Registration Opens: 1st March 2024 @ 8am

Registration Closes: 19th July, 2024 @ 8pm or earlier if capacity is reached.

- To register you will need to create a free Pickleball Brackets login and profile. Profile must contain your contact number, email & PAA ID number.

- You may enter in more than one event during the tournament but all events need to be in a different categories e.g. Mixed Doubles, Doubles, Singles.

The tournament will held at the Our lady of Sacred Heart College indoor stadium.

Open events will be the best of 3 games to 11 points win by 2 with double elimination.

All other events will have qualifying games in round robin format and then semis and finals.

Games will be to 15 points win by 2 in round-robin events with up to 5 players/teams, and up to 11 points win by 2 in round-robin events with 6 or more players/teams.

Semi finals will be 1 game to 15 win by 2.

Medal matches will be best of 3 games to 11 win by 2.

PLEASE NOTE:

- Skill Levels: For Doubles, you must sign up at the skill level of the higher-rated partner.

All players will be guaranteed a minimum of 3 games per event.

X26 Franklin balls will be used for.

Tournament T shirts will be provided at no extra cost to all competitors who complete the order form with size required as part of the online registration process. Shirts can be collected at the registration desk on arrival at the tournament. Changes in sizes cannot be offered.

It is a condition of entry that all attendees understand that they may be photographed or filmed at the event and that these images may be stored and used by PAA, NTPC or our sponsors on websites, social media and other purposes without express permission or payment.

DIRECTOR'S DISCRETION

The tournament director reserves the right to:

- review, and possibly alter the rating of players who self-rate below or above their actual ability.

- move players and teams between skill level brackets if on verification the wrong event has been entered.

- merge or split brackets based on event registration. Any event with fewer than 4 entries will be combined with another event of closest possible standard.

- change start times to facilitate smooth running of the tournament

- The tournament director reserves the right to modify the events and/or schedule as needed pending influences beyond our control (ie. Fire drill etc).

Full refunds will be provided to players who withdraw for any reason prior to the close of regsistrations.
