Come out to Oregon Park in Marietta to celebrate Memorial Day and play some pickleball. We hope players will honor U.S. military personnel who have died while serving in the United States armed forces by wearing red, white and blue.

The schedule is as follows:

Saturday May 27th Mens & Womens Doubles

Sunday May 28th Mixed Doubles.

Competition each day may begin as early as 8:00 AM. Specific start times for each event will be posted and emailed to players approximately one week prior to the event.

Format is Round Robin with medal matches to follow brackets with 4 teams or more.

As registration proceeds, tournament management reserves the option to combine brackets as needed if brackets do not fill. Brackets will be combined by age if possible to avoid combining skills. Tournament management also reserves the right to convert brackets to double elimination if necessary.

Skills levels include 2.5,3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5+

Age groups will be split after registration is completed.

A team must play at the skill level of the higher rated player (or higher) and the age group of the younger player. Age is calculated as of 12/31/2023.

RATINGS

- Pickleballbrackets ratings will be used.

- For new players with no rating, the PickleballBrackets.com self rating will be used.

- Players who do not have a PickleballBrackets.com rating but do have an official USAPA UTPR ratings MUST self rate using their UTPR rating.

-Players with a UTPR that is higher than their Pickleballbracket calculated tournament rating may be moved to the higher level at the discretion of the tournament director.

You may register and identify your partner or request "Need partner". Selecting that you "need a partner" allows other players to see that you are available to play in the tournament. We do our best to introduce players that need partners, but this selection does not mean that the tournament will find a partner for you. It is still your responsibility to find a partner.

There are no referees. Matches are self-monitored. If a referee is requested, we will do our best to provide one.

Registration fee is $45 and includes two events.

This tournament counts towards GPA rankings and qualification for the GPA State Tournament.

Cancellation deadline is 9pm May 8th , 2023. No refunds for any reason after that date. Cancellations prior to that date are subject to a $15 administration fee. Southern Pickleball Association membership purchases are non refundable.

This is an outdoor tournament. There are no refunds for weather related cancellations unless a player has purchased tournament cancellation insurance.

We will make every effort to complete all events. Tournament Director reserves the right to change format, shorten games, or make any other changes they feel will help complete the event.

Players who do not show up for their event and fail to notify the tournament director prior OR leave the event without notifying the tournament director after it has started are subject to a $25 fine. The fine must be paid before registering for any other Southern Pickleball events.

ALL REFUNDS will be sent within 30 days after the tournament is completed.
