Tournament Description
Thank you for your interest in participating in PickleMeSilly LLC events! Our team appreciates your business. Our mission is to create the most innovative and enjoyable Pickleball tournaments in our Mid-Atlantic region. We are working hard to make your experience with us the most fun and rewarding as possible.
The Memorial Day weekend tournament will be held on the campus of Garrison Forest High School located in Baltimore County, MD. The event dates are Saturday May 27 & Sunday May 28, 2023.
This will be a round robin tournament with playoffs. Champions, runner-up, and third place will be awarded medals. All registered players will be receive a gift for their participation.
Day 1: Saturday - Gender doubles.
Day 2: Sunday - Mixed doubles and singles.
Skill brackets include: 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0+. Team skill level will be determined by the highest skill level. Older players may play down, but not up in age groups.
Brackets will be broken into the following age groups as long as there are at least 4 teams to play the bracket: 19+, 35+, 50+. Team age brackets are determined by the age of the youngest partner. Age as of December 31, 2023
Games will be played on 20 outdoor tennis courts with temporary nets, taped lines, and Franklin X-40 pickleballs.
Both partners must be paid in full with signed waivers for registration to be considered complete and to ensure your spot in the bracket.
Schedules will be posted a few days in advance and brackets will be available on the day of play.

Additional Information
An additional $5 game bracket management fee is applied per event you play in.
Check in starts at 7:30AM for those with 8AM bracket starts. Players scheduled after 8:00AM must check in at least 30 minutes prior to their bracket start, and will be allowed a 5-minute warm up. All players will need to attend a mandatory player meeting before the start of play.
Primary format will be round robin with play-offs. In the event that a bracket does not have sufficient teams the Tournament Director reserves the right to combine brackets.
USAPA 2023 rules will apply. Referees will be provided for championship rounds.
Award medals will be awarded for the top three teams in each bracket Champion (gold)/Runner-Up (silver)/Third Place (bronze).
You are encouraged to bring your own pre-prepared food and drinks. Alcohol consumption is not permitted on the school grounds. Complimentary Snacks and water will be distributed to players on a first come basis and while supplies last. Coolers, tables, and eating is not allowed on courts. Food trucks may be available.
Full bathroom facilities are located adjacent to courts. Some covered areas are available for resting between games and are available on a first come first serve basis.
Portable folding chairs and tables are permitted and can be set up in open areas outside the playing areas. Chairs are allowed courts and must not be left unattended. No umbrellas allowed in playing areas.
No loud radio or noise makers are permitted.
No soliciting, banners, and signs are permitted.
The facility does not allow for pets. Requests for service animals must be submitted 1 week in advance.
A certified EMT/Athletic Trainer will be on side during playing times to assist players with any medical concerns.
Players and spectators are expected to exhibit the highest degree of sportsmanship and fair play at all times. The management reserves the right to dismiss a player, team, or spectator at any time for violation of these expectations without warning, and without refund.
Refund Policy
CANCELLATION DEADLINE: 5/14/2022
Withdrawals before May 14, 2023 will receive a full refund minus a $25 cancellation fee.

This is an outdoor tournament played on tennis courts with no protection from the weather, sun, wind, etc. In case of severe weather that will make play impossible you will be notified of any changes in venue and event dates. If unsure of your game times and location please contact us for updates as we get closer to your scheduled start time.

Health & Safety
If at any time you need assistance please ask a tournament employee or visit the Game Management table adjacent to the courts. A certified trainer will be present at the event for any medical consultation. In case of a medical emergency, the tournament management will call 911 for medical care. An AED, or automated external defibrillator, provided by the host school will be available in case of emergency.
