Tournament Description

This BRAND-NEW TOURNAMENT is being held in honor of the 40th anniversary of the incorporation of the City of Mesquite, NV. The tournament will serve as the kick-off event for a week-long Mesquite Days celebration. This tournament is intended to be an annual event which will kick-off the Mesquite Days festivities each year going forward. Additional Information

All play will be Round Robin, with specific bracket and match formats determined by the number of teams in the bracket. Bracket details and draws will be posted no later than 7 days prior to the tournament start (although subsequent changes are possible due to late player withdrawals). Changes to the original postings will be announced as soon as possible after they occur, with no changes to players or formats allowed later than 24 hours before the start of a bracket.

- Bracket minimum: 4 teams

- Bracket maximum: 12 teams

- No combination brackets for age or skill

Age Groups:

- Youth: 14 - 18

- Adult: 19+, 30+, 40+

- Senior: 50+,55+,60+,65+,70+,75+,80+,85+,90+

Skill Levels: 3.0,3.5,4.0,4,5,5.0+

Events:

- Men's Youth Doubles (open skills)

- Women's Youth Doubles (open skills)

- Men's Doubles (brackets by age-group/skill combination)

- Women's Doubles (brackets by age-group/skill combination)

- Men's Senior Doubles (brackets by age-group/skill combination)

- Women's Senior Doubles (brackets by age-group/skill combination)

- Mixed Doubles (brackets by age-group/skill combination)

- Mixed Senior Doubles (brackets by age-group/skill combination)

- Men's Open Doubles (one bracket)

- Women's Open Doubles (one bracket)

Costs

- Tournament registration - $35.00

- Early bird registration (before 03/24/24) - $30.00

- Youth events - $10.00

- Adult events - $15.00

- Senior events - $15.00

- Open events - $25.00

- Pickleballbrackets.com service fee - $5.00 per event, $10.00 maximum (nonrefundable)

Tournament will use two venues:

- Old Mill Pickleball Complex

- Conestoga Park Pickleball Complex

- Details regarding these two venues are listed below. Assignments of specific brackets to these two venues will be determined after the close of registration.

Refund Policy

Refund requests will be accepted for any reason until close of official registration. Refunds are subject to a $15 administration fee.

After close of official registration, refunds will only be available (without administrative fee) for:

- teams on waitlist who are not cleared to play

- Players seeking partners who do not find a partner prior to the start of the event

- Players whose event is cancelled by the organizer due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances

- Players who register for brackets which do not achieve the minimum required size

Note: Players whose partners cancel on them after the close of registration are not eligible for refunds.

Prize Money

For the Men's Open Doubles event and the Women's Open Doubles event:

- Gold medal: each player will receive a Pickleball Superstore gift card for $200.00

- Silver medal: each player will receive a Pickleball Superstore gift card for $100.00

- Bronze medal: each player will receive a Pickleball Superstore gift card for $50.00

Additionally, all medal winner's names for these Open events will be inscribed on a permanent plaque to be displayed in the trophy case of the City of Mesquite Recreation Center.

Limited parking available at the Old Mill Pickleball Complex. Additional parking available along Old Mill Road, as well as parking available in the West parking lot of the Mesquite Recreation Center directly across the street from the Old Mill Pickleball Complex. Please do NOT park directly in front of the Mesquite Recreation Center as that area is reserved for Recreation Center paid members.
