Welcome pickleballers!
On Friday, March 28th (6-9 PM) we will be hosting a co-ed money ball night for advanced players 4.5 and above. Teams are co-ed which means they can be male/male, female/female, or mixed. Basically, put your best two players out there to compete. Matches will take place at the HCC Tennis Center located at 3901 W Tampa Bay Blvd. Tampa, FL 33614.
The entry fee is $50 per person ($100 total per doubles team). Prize money comes from entry fees and the overall amount of prize money depends on the # of entry fees. 30% of all entry fees go directly towards prize money.
FORMAT:
Teams will compete in 5 round robin rounds against a randomly assigned team from the pool of teams. Games are to 11, switch sides at 6. At the end of 5 round robin rounds, 8 teams will be put into a single elimination playoff bracket. Playoff games are to 11, switch sides at 6. The finals game will be to 15, switch sides at 8.
The 8 teams selected for the playoff rounds will be determined by the following criteria:
1) Most match wins or best overall record (5-0, 4-1, 3-2, etc.)
2) Head to head record between teams (if any)
3) Overall point differential (ratio of overall points won/points lost during the 5 round robin rounds) EVERY POINT YOU WIN OR LOSE MATTERS.
FOOD & REFRESHMENTS:
We will have food and refreshments on site for our pickleball players including sandwiches, waters, gatorade, and other snacks.
REFUND POLICY:
The last chance to request a refund is Sunday, Feb 23rd @ 11:59 PM. No refunds will be issued beyond that point.
