Tournament Description

Register has now closed for this historic event! Last year featured some of the best players from the region and beyond and we expect the same for this year! Registration includes 3 events!

VERY IMPORTANT - If you have not yet received a pre-tournament email, please make sure you double check your spam folder to ensure they are not being delivered there.

**PLEASE NOTE - size limits have been placed on particular brackets and can fluctuate due registration demands - PLEASE register for the waitlist and we will notify you of changes - there is NO fee to register on the WAITLIST.

Updated - 02/17/2024 - In order to manage the ending time of each day, some brackets may close early and a waiting list will start for those brackets.

Updated 1/09/2024 - SENIOR BRACKETS NOW ADDED! Registration includes 3 events as stated above, Seniors can play in all three events and add Thursday for $10 extra.

Dates of Play:

Thursday Senior Doubles (50+, 60+)

Friday - Singles (all ages), Senior Mixed Doubles (50+, 60+)

Saturday - Doubles (All ages)

Sunday - Mixed Doubles (All ages)

Format:

This tournament will be conducted in the standard Championship Style, Double Elimination Format.

The Upper Bracket will consist of 2 out of 3 games to 11 Points (win by 2).

The Lower Bracket will consist of 1 Game to 15 Points (win by 2).

If there are 5 or fewer teams in a bracket, a Round Robin will be conducted with each match consisting of 2 out of 3 games to 11 points (win by 2).

The order of Finish will be determined by:

Total Matches won, then the result of head to head competition, and finally by total point differential.

If there are 1 or 2 teams in a bracket - those teams will be merged up or down in skill. This decision will be based on the tournament director’s evaluation.

The Tournament Director reserves the right to adjust brackets and format as needed.

The Franklin X-40 (Green) ball will be used.

The Tournament will request that DUPR upload the results of this tournament.

Registration fees include entrance to three events.

Regular Registration before February 21 - $80 (plus system registration fee)

On February 21 until registration closes - $90 (plus system registration fee)

Please note that funds cannot be "transferred" to another player.

<p><strong>IMPORTANT INFORMATION CONCERNING REGISTRATION</strong></p>

<p><strong>FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS</strong></p>

<p><strong>When will official start times be posted?</strong> - Approximately 1-2 days following the close of registration, bracket start times will be posted. It is important to note that factors outside of the control of the tournament staff may impact actual court times (matches that last beyond typical times, weather delays, etc).</p>

<p><strong>When will I specifically play?</strong> - Once your bracket officially starts, games will be assigned as courts become available.</p>

<p><strong>How do I know where I am playing?</strong> - You must have texting enabled on your Pickleball Brackets account. This is the ONLY way you will be notified. Please note that you may forfeit your match if you do not arrive at the court at assigned times.</p>

<p><strong>Where do I find my bracket?</strong> - Sign in to the Pickleball Brackets system and chose your event from the page.</p>

<p><strong>How do I know who is playing on which court?</strong> - If a team is assigned to a court, then you will see that court assignment number in a blue box next to the teams.</p>

<p><strong>I need to withdraw from the tournament, can you “swap” my registration for someone else?</strong> - Funds/Registration <strong>may NOT</strong> be “swapped” or transferred. If a substitute is allowed they must register and pay all applicable tournament fees.</p>

<p><strong>Where will results be posted?</strong> - Results will be posted on Pickleball Brackets and any additional rating system with whom Pickleball Brackets has an agreement. Check the Pickleball brackets website for additional information.</p>

Please note that the tournament software (Pickleball Brackets) charges $5.00 or $10.00 as a registration fee depending on how many events you register for. Please note neither the tournament directors nor the venue have any control over these fees and they are non refundable in case of withdrawal.

Refunds are available minus the system fee and a $5.00 transaction fee until the scheduled registration close date. No refunds will be given after registration closes.
