The New Jersey Senior Olympics Pickleball Tournament, 2023 is open to players who will be 50 as of December 31, 2023. This IS NOT a qualifying year for the National Games. In-state and out-of-state residents are welcome.

EVENTS:

Mixed Doubles, Men’s Doubles, and Women’s Doubles, Men's Singles, Women's Singles. Sign up by age groups only. 50-54, 55-59, etc. DUPR ratings will be used, if available. Skill level will be used to split age groups into pools,, if necessary. Final bracketing will be determined by the NJSO Pickleball Tournament Committee. The play format will be Round Robin. You may register for two event only.

START TIMES: Official start times will be issued via Email and posting on the website about a week prior to the tournament.

FORMAT:

Round Robin, win by first to 11. We will follow the USA Pickleball Rulebook, 2023. Players will self-score and self-referee and report the score to the Court Monitor.

COURTS: 12 courts are taped over tennis courts with temporary nets. Three courts will be available to practice.

FEES: $45 plus a $5 service fee per event, to pickleballbrackets.com as well as medals and shirt - $3 additional for XXL shirt.

IMPORTANT: If you do not have a partner registered in 15 days and the event fills up, you will be moved to the “Wait List” automatically.

IMPORTANT: Due to events beyond our control (delays due to rain, etc.), it is possible that your scheduled event will be pushed to the next day, including Sunday.

REFUND POLICY:

There is a no refund - unless the event is unable to be rescheduled - at the discretion of the New Jersey Senior Olympics. The $5 fee per event collected by pickleballbrackets.com is not refundable under any circumstances.

Scheduled play will be held on Friday and Saturday. Sunday is reserved for delayed play or unfinished brackets.

In the event of postponement or cancellation, notice will go out to all registered players via Email, as well as posting on the website. If Friday is completely washed out, the Friday schedule will be played on Sunday. If Friday and Saturday are both washed out, The Garden State Games Committee will decide on a future date for the tournament.
