The NextGen Advisory Council of Atrium Health Navicent is a group of Millennial community members and health leaders who come together to explore the future of health in the Middle Georgia Area.
In response to the staffing crisis faced by the health institutions in the community, as well as the financial barriers many students face to achieving the necessary education to enter the health field, this group founded a scholarship for students entering this career field with an aim of improving health equity in the region.
“The Navicent NextGen Scholarship is awarded because of the Council’s dedication to improving the future of health in Middle Georgia. The scholarship was created to assist individuals pursuing an undergraduate degree who display a capacity for learning and a desire for academic achievement to ultimately improve health equity in our community. Proceeds from this tournament will go to funding this scholarship.
