All events will have qualifying games in round robin format with playoffs for medal matches.
NOTE: The event has fixed time to leave the venue. If time is an issue then the Tournament Director reserves the right to change this.
Referees will be scheduled for all Gold medal matches. If possible, some Bronze medal matches may have a referee, but no guarantees.
PLEASE NOTE
This tournament will utilise DUPR to determine eligible skill brackets.
Skill Levels: You must sign up at the skill level of the higher-rated doubles partner.
Age: You must sign up for the age level of the younger doubles partner.
Age limit deadline will be as of 31 December 2026.
All players will be guaranteed a minimum of 3 games per event.
X26 Franklin balls will be used for our indoor courts.
IMAGES TAKEN AT THE TOURNAMENT
It is a condition of entry that all attendees understand that they may be photographed or filmed at the event and that these images may be stored and used by PAA, NTPC or our sponsors on websites, social media and for other purposes without express permission or payment.
The courts are close together and cannot accommodate wheelchair pickleball players.
DIRECTOR'S DISCRETION
The tournament director reserves the right to:
- review, and possibly alter the rating of players who self-rate below or above their actual ability.
- move players and teams between skill level brackets if on verification the wrong event has been entered.
- change start times to facilitate smooth running of the tournament
- modify the events and/or schedule as needed pending influences beyond our control (ie. Fire drill etc).
The tournament director will merge or split events based on event registration.
Events with less than 4 players/teams will be merged with another event at the discretion of the TD.
The process for the merging of events is:
>Merge within age group first.
>Merge within skill level second, if option 1 is not a viable option.
All players affected by a merge, will be notified by email.
WAITLIST:
Doubles: players will automatically be allocated a position in the main draw, UNLESS the event is at capacity. If you enter before the event is at capacity, you have 7 days to secure a partner and have your partner also enter the tournament. After 7 days if your partner fails to enter, or you do not secure a partner, you will be moved to the waitlist.
Teams who have both players enter the event, will be prioritised over a player who fails to secure a partner and these teams will be moved to the main draw first.
It is the responsibility of the participant to source a partner and have them enter to secure the teams position.
VOLUNTEERS
