WALMART and the Walton Life Fitness Center presents the 2021 Northwest Arkansas Pickleball Classic.
Men's and Women's Doubles - Saturday, November 13, 2021. All 55 and Over Men's/Women's Doubles Events and Men's/Women's 2.5 Doubles will start at 8:00 am. All 54 and Under Men's/Women's Doubles Events and Men's/Women's 4.5+ Doubles to follow (but not before 11:00 am).
Mixed Doubles - Sunday, November 14, 2021. All Mixed Events will start at 8:00 am.
The Daily Event Schedule will be posted and emailed to players on Wednesday, November 10, 2021.
This is a Skill Level/Age Group tournament. Registration is by Skill Level.
Registration starts at 8:00 am (CST) on August 1, 2021.
Cost $40.00 (per person) for first event, $15.00 (per person) for second event. All players will receive a goody bag which includes a free tournament t-shirt and one Franklin X-40 pickleball. Goody bags can be picked up on Friday, November 12 after 6:00 pm.
Free open play (first come/first serve) for all tourney entrants on Friday, November 12 from 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm.
All matches will be played INDOORS at the Walton Life Fitness Center on a tennis court surface.
All Round Robin Events will be given 2, 3, or 4 courts to play on until the round robin is complete. Most round robin brackets will take around three to four hours to finish.
The tournament ball is: Franklin X-40 Optic Yellow.
Doubles partners must sign up at the skill level of the higher rated partner and the age bracket of the younger partner. Please use your published USAPA rating. If you do not have a USAPA rating, then you can self-rate or use your pickleballbrackets.com rating.
To guarantee a spot in the tournament, the second partner must sign up and pay within 5 days of the first partner's registration. Incomplete teams will be moved to the waiting list after 5 days. Once the second partner registers, the team will be moved back into the event IF THERE ARE SPOTS LEFT IN THE TOURNAMENT AND THE EVENT.
Round Robin format for all events. Medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
If an event has 3 or 4 teams entered, the event will be a double round robin with matches consisting of 2 out of 3 games to 11 points (win by 2). Medals determined by round robin standings - no medal rounds.
If an event has 5 to 9 teams entered, the event will be a single round robin with matches consisting of one game to 15 points (win by 2). Medals determined by round robin standings - no medal rounds.
If an event has 10 to 16 teams entered, the event will be split into two pools with the top two teams advancing out of each pool to play in the medal rounds. All matches (pool play and medal rounds) will be one game to 15 points (win by 2).
