Ocean Pines Pickleball Club and LFG Tourneys invites You to the OCEAN PINES 2025 SUMMER CLASSIC at Ocean Pines Racquet Center in Ocean Pines, Maryland!! The tournament will be held Friday through Sunday JUNE 6-8, 2025. The Ocean Pines 2025 Summer Classic will be Round Robin format for all doubles events, so you will have the opportunity for lots of games!! Larger brackets will be split into pools and top teams from each pool will advance to playoffs!

This will be an outdoor tournament with 12 designated Pickleball courts and there are 4 additional courts for warm-ups and/or tournament games if needed.

* Friday, June 6th, will be Singles, Skinny Singles, and Anything Goes Split Age events (men, women, and mixed teams welcome, with one partner 50+, and one partner under 50 yrs old).

* Saturday, June 7th will be all levels Gender Doubles events as well as $$ COED Moneyball Under 50 years old. Over 50+ cancelled due to not enough players.

* Sunday, June 8th will be all levels Mixed Doubles events.

FORMAT -

* General Men's, Women's, and Mixed Doubles events will have several age brackets and skill levels of 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, and 4.5. These events will be in a Round-Robin format. Each Round-Robin will have pools varying in size, depending on registrants. Games will be to 15 points, win by 2 points. The top couple teams from each pool will compete in a playoff. No come around. Bronze will be games to 15, win by 2. Gold will be best 2 out of three.

****NOTE - In brackets with 7 TEAMS, round robin games will be games to 11, win by 2, given teams will have six round robin games, plus potentially more in brackets to 15, win by 2.

Mens and Womens Singles and Skinny Singles Events with be Best 2 out of 3, games to 11, win by 2. Consolation brackets games to 15, win by 2. Double elimination bracket.

*We will have $$ payouts for our COED MONEYBALL events! These events will be Round Robin into playoffs. Each Round Robin will be games to 15, win by 2. The top couple teams from each pool will compete in a playoff. Bronze and Gold matches will be best 2 out of three.

REGISTRATION FEE - $50.00

Each General Event Fee - $10.00 each Coed Moneyball Fee - $60.00 each

**Tournament Directors have the right to make changes to format, adjust age brackets, or other items if needed.

* Medals awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams.

* All registered players will receive a Special gift and other goodies!

* Results will be entered into DUPR.

Your DUPR rating will be used to determine which skill level you may play in. If player does not have DUPR rating, player's pickleball brackets rating will be used. If players do not have a DUPR rating or pickleball brackets rating, players self-rating will be used from their pickleball brackets profile. Players are responsible to self-rate at a skill level that is NOT lower than their actual skill level. Players may play in a skill level higher than their rating. Players may not play in a skill level that is lower than their rating.

Start times will not be announced until registration closes. We do this because the number of signups for each event will determine when we can start each bracket. We need to know the final number of entrants for each event in order to determine the most efficient start times to keep the day running as smoothly as possible. Start times will be released one to two days after registration closes and may be subject to change due to any unforeseen circumstances.

Water, snacks and raffles will be available to players.

NOTE - We ask that you start a DUPR account if you do not already have one. We also ask that all players join the LFG Tourneys "club" in your DUPR account. This is not required, but appreciated :)

You must show a photo ID with your birthdate to check-in. Please check-in a minimum of 30 minutes prior to your event start time each day that you play. If the tournament is running early, your event can start up to 30 minutes before the scheduled start time.

GENERAL RULES

* 2025 USAP Pickleball Rules will apply. *

*Just as the USAP rules state -we will be allowing the Joola MOD TA-15 and the Gearbox Pro Power paddles until July 1, 2025.

* Team Age bracket will be determined by the age of the youngest partner. Age as of 12/31/2025.

* Team Skill level will be determined by the highest skill level of the player on the team.

*Full Refunds will be allowed until May 9, 2025 (one month prior), minus the pickleball brackets service fee. Pickleball Brackets charges a $5 service fee for one event, and $10 service fee for two or more events off the top during checkout.

** 50% refunds up until two weeks before the tournament starts (May 23, 2025).

*** No refunds after May 23, 2025.

*In situations of player swap, the new partner will need to pay the registration and event fee prior to issuing a refund to the withdrawing partner. A refund to the withdrawn partner will be issued (minus a $30 to $35 fee [$25 fee plus $5 or $10 Pickleball Bracket event fee] depending on how many events you are withdrawing from).

* Note - PickleballBrackets.com charges a separate administration fee at checkout that is non-refundable at any time if you are placed into an event.

Inclement Weather Policy -

This is an outdoor tournament where we will do our best to play matches as scheduled. There is a risk events could be cancelled due to issues outside the tournament's control. In these cases, there will be no refunds/credits as per the Ocean Pines Pickleball Club.
