Tournament Description
This is a fun, morning round robin Men's and Women's Skinny Singles Doubles Tournament (non-elimination) by age and skill level. All matches will begin at 9am. Check-in desk opens at 8AM. The tournament will last approximately 3 hours. Medals will be awarded for 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place in each bracket.
Old School Skinny Singles Rules of Play (cross court only)
Skinny Singles is played according to the same rules as Singles, except for otherwise noted below…
The unique feature of Skinny Singles is that at each end, only one of the two courts (i.e., the right [even] or the left [odd] court) is “in play” during a rally.
The player’s position is determined by the server’s individual score.
When a player’s score is even, the player serves and plays from the right (even) court (cross court only)

When the player’s score is odd, the player serves and plays from the left (odd) court (cross court only)
This means that some rallies will be played:
Cross-court from the right (even) courts (when the score is 0-0, 2-6, 8-2, etc.)
Cross-court from the left (odd) courts (when the score is 1-1, 3-7, 9-5, etc.)
TIP FOR THE SERVER: There is no difference from full-court singles for the server’s position. After a side out, the server starts serving from the right or left court according to their score. If the server wins the rally, a point is scored and the server switches courts for the next rally. The server continues switching courts as long as points are scored.
Additional Information
Prize medals are awarded in each bracket as determined by the International Federation of Pickleball (IFP) Rulebook Standard:
Tie Break IFP Rules
*Total matches won
1st 12.C.3.a. Head-to-head matches won
2nd 12.C.3.b. Point differential of all games played
(e.g., Team A won Match 1 11-8, 11-4, so they would have a point differential of +10.
Team A then wins the second match 11-9, 2-11, 11-6.
For this round, they would have a point 50 differential of -2.
This would give them a total for the day of +8.)
3rd 12.C.3.c. Head-to-head point differential
4th 12.C.3.d.Point differential against next-highest team. (e.g., If the teams are tied for second, use point differentials against the first-place team.)
The tournament director will combine brackets if deemed necessary.
