The Fall Paddles at the Plex tournament will follow USA Pickleball rules. There are 24 covered and 9 uncovered, individually fenced, and lighted courts.
Although you are registering for a large age group bracket, brackets will be split or combined based on registration numbers after registration closes. This is a skill/age tournament, and we will do our best to keep skill/age groups similar. We will attempt to have a youth (8–15-year-old) bracket if registration numbers allow. Attempts will also be made to avoid brackets of less than 5 teams / players.
Registration criteria are based on your current DUPR rating. If you do not have a DUPR rating, you will be allowed to register based on your "Self-Rating". The tournament reserves the right to reevaluate DUPR ratings after registration closes and move players based on their current DUPR rating. All registration fees include one lunch food voucher and a tournament gift. There is a $5 "PIckleball.com" fee for each event up to 2 events. The Pickleball.com fee is non-refundable. In doubles events, both partners must register and pay. This is a 3-day tournament. Registration may be capped at 500 players, or by events, when the day is projected to be full.
Friday (August 28) will be Women's doubles and Men's singles. Saturday (August 29) is mixed doubles. Sunday (August 30) is under Women's singles and Men's doubles.
All play will be round robin 1-15 except brackets. If time allows, all matches in the below 60 brackets will have pre-medal and medal rounds. All medal rounds will be 2/3 11 win by 2. Seniors will only play Gold/Silver & Bronze medal matches no pre-medal matches (1 Vs. 2 & 3 Vs. 4). We will be using current USA Pickleball rules, all matches are win by 2.
Brackets of 3 teams - "Double Round Robin" / 3 teams advancing to medal rounds.
Brackets of 4-7 / 4 teams advancing to medal rounds.
Brackets of 8 -14 2 pools with top 2 from each pool advancing to medal rounds.
Brackets of 15-18 3 pools with top 2 from each pool advancing to medal rounds.
Please note that if you are playing in a doubles event and your partner does not register within 3 days of when you register, you will automatically be moved to the waitlist. Your spot in the main event will NOT be saved. After you are both registered and paid for the event, if the day/bracket has not filled, you will be moved back to the active event. If the event has filled before your team is completely registered, you will remain on the waitlist.
The tournament reserves the right to change the format based on registration and other factors.
