Join us for the Paddles for a Purpose: Kiwanis Club of Williamsburg’s First Pickleball Tournament
Get ready for an exciting day of fun, competition, and community impact at Paddles for a Purpose, the first-ever pickleball tournament presented by the Kiwanis Club of Williamsburg!

• House of Mercy – Providing food, clothing, and resources to families in need.
• Edmarc – Offering hospice care and support for children with life-threatening illnesses.
• Kiwanis Kids Idea Studio – Inspiring young minds through innovation, creativity, and education.

Tournament Info:
This tournament will be held at the pickleball courts located at Back Creek Park in York County, VA. There will be Skill & Age Divisions in Men's and Women's Doubles, and Mixed Doubles .
Age Divisions: 12+, 30+, 40+, 50+, 60+, 65+, 70+
Skill Divisions: 2.5+, 3.0+, 3.5+, 4.0+, 4.5+
Matches will take place on 12 dedicated outdoor pickleball courts.
Medals will be awarded to the Top 3 teams/players in each bracket.
Tournament Dates:
Saturday, June 28th: Men and Women’s Doubles
Sunday, June 29th: Mixed Doubles
*Full Bracket Schedule & Start Times will be released the week of the tournament.

Cancellation Deadline for a Full Refund is Friday 6/21/25
All Registration closes on Saturday 6/22/25
Tournament Fees:
Early Registration Fee is $25!! This ends on Friday 3/21/25.
Regular Registration Fee will be $35 starting on Saturday 3/22/25.
The registration fee is per player and includes free tournament sponsor giveaways.
Event fees are $10 per event for all Skill & Age events. There will also be a Pickleball Brackets non-refundable service fee of $5 per event or a maximum of $10 when registering for 2 events.
For doubles events, priority will be given to teams that have both partners registered. Teams with only one partner registered and teams with no designated partner will be waitlisted. To secure your spot in a doubles bracket, please make sure that both you and your partner are registered.

Rules & Format:
This is a non-sanctioned tournament, but we will be following USAP 2025 rules.
All Skill & Age brackets will be Round Robin with a Single Elimination bracket round and/or Medal matches to be played immediately following the completion of Round Robin play.
BRACKET SIZE FORMATS:
4 - 6 teams = Round Robin games to 15, top 2 play 2/3 to 11 for Gold. 3rd and 4th play 1 game to 15 for Bronze.
7 - 9 teams = Round Robin games to 11, top 2 play 2/3 to 11 for Gold. 3rd and 4th play 1 game to 15 for Bronze.
10 or 12 teams = 2 pools of 5 or 6 teams. Round Robin games to 15, top 3 from each pool will advance to single elimination bracket
Events with 3 or fewer participants may be combined with another of similar skill level or different age group.
A team must play at the skill level of the higher rated player, and at the age group of the younger player.
Age is calculated as of 12/31/2025.
As registration proceeds, tournament management reserves the option to combine brackets as needed if brackets do not fill.
All matches are self-monitored.
DUPR Ratings:
The rating used for this tournament will be DUPR and all match scores and results will be automatically entered into DUPR. Please be sure to connect your DUPR account to your Pickleball Brackets account to ensure reporting accuracy.
Notice:
Skill & Age groups may be combined at the discretion of the Tournament Director to create brackets as needed based on the number of registered teams/players. The Tournament Director also reserves the right to adjust the bracket and match formats as necessary.
Additional Description:
Ball: Franklin X-40 neon green. Players will not be allowed to wear bright green shirts.
Courts: 12 outdoor dedicated pickleball courts
Snacks and water will be provided to players throughout the day

Refund Policy
The Cancellation Deadline is Friday 6/21/25. Full refunds less the Pickleball Brackets non-refundable service fees will be given through this date. After this date, there will be no refunds for cancellations or withdrawals.
Entry fee will be considered a charitable donation.
For any extenuating circumstances or situations, please contact the Tournament Director for approval.
Weather
INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY - This is an outdoor tournament. If weather is a factor, we will do all we can to play all matches. If we are unable to play the majority of matches, we will do our best to offer a make-up day. There are no indoor backup plans for this tournament.
