Tournament Description

Welcome to the Second Annual Paddles for Patriots pickleball tournament on April 11 & 12!

The tournament will be held at Epiphany Pickleball in Uptown Mt Dora! Lots of fun play, vendors and fun awards for the top players. Anticipate format is round robin (teams rotating). There will be 12 brackets:

Under 55: Men’s over or under 3.5; Women’s over or under 3.5 & Mixed over or under 3.5

Over 56: Men’s over or under 3.5; Women’s over or under 3.5 & Mixed over or under 3.5

Presented by the GFWC Mount Dora Woman’s Club to benefit Ashley’s House. Ashley’s House is an all-female veteran transition home offering women veterans a temporary safe haven while also providing job training, counseling, and much needed female camaraderie as they work towards self-sufficiency in a secure and loving environment. Join us for a FUN day raising money for a GREAT cause.

Additional Information

Participants are responsible for finding their own partner. If your partner is older than you (eg 50 & 59), you should sign up for the younger age bracket. We ask that you be true to your skill level, no one likes being sandbagged. If your partner is a 4.0 and you are a 3.0, you should sign up for the 3.5 and above bracket.

The current Round Robin Format may be changed at any time prior to the start of play of a specific bracket on the day of the Tournament. The Committee will do its best to communicate any changes in a timely manner.

Round Robin Play: Brackets are run as Round Robin, followed by a single-elimination playoff for the top teams. Each bracket will be divided into two sets (the Veterans and the Deployed). Each team in each set will play each other (up to 5 games). Games will be played to 11 (no win by 1 - first team to 11 wins). The winners of each set (the top Veteran and the top Deployed) will play single elimination to determine the top three places (play to 15; win by 2).

Refund Policy

Refund Policy: Withdrawals before March 20 will incur a $10 processing fee. Tournament service fees are non-refundable. Withdrawals after April 16 will not be refunded.
