Tournament Description
Welcome to Palace Summer Classic @ Pickleball Palace ! This tournament will be held at the newly constructed climate controlled Pickleball Palace Whippany location which features 7 indoor dedicated pickleball courts with permanent nets! There will be singles, gender doubles, mixed doubles and split age events with skill levels ranging from 2.5-4.5+ with prize money for the 4.5+ Open divisions. Total prize money depends on total number of entrants in 4.5+ divisions.
For all amateur divisions there will be prizes for all gold medalists from each bracket. There will be non alcoholic beverages available for purchase on-site as well. Come out for fun games, competitive pickleball, and a good time!
Co-ed Split , Men's & Women's Open division events ( Singles, Doubles & Mixed Doubles) will follow Round Robin format.
All amateur brackets will be round robin format! Larger brackets will be split into pools and top teams from each pool will advance to playoffs.
All amateur teams will be guaranteed many games, exact number depends on number of teams in bracket.
Registration cost for this tournament is $50.
Singles event is $20
Each gender amateur event is $25 and mixed event is $25.
Each Open level event is $40.
Coed Split age open fee $35
Pickleball brackets also charges a $5 service fee per event with the maximum being $10 on top during checkout.
Registration includes a free T-shirt if registered before June 7th 2025.
When a player signs up for a doubles event, his or her partner must register and pay within 2 days of that time or else the team will be moved to the waitlist. Once both players are registered and paid, the team will be moved off the waitlist.
Players of any age can sign up for 19+ events.
There is a 4.5 bracket separate from 4.5+. regular 4.5 19+ and 50+ are amateur events with no prize money. Co-ed split age and 4.5+ open level $$$ events are the open events with payouts.
Start times will not be announced until registration closes! This is because the number of signups for each event will determine when we can start each bracket. We need to know the final number of entrants for each event in order to determine the most efficient start times to keep the day running as smoothly as possible. Start times will be released 1 or 2 days after registration closes and may be subject to change due to any unforeseen circumstances.
Players will be placed in divisions based on their current DUPR rating at the time of registration.
The results will be uploaded to DUPR. If players are trying to switch partners last minute due to unforseen situations we will try to support but the eplacement player DUPR rating should be at the same level.
Brackets may be combined if not enough teams are signed up in a given event. Age groups within the same skill level would be combined first. If necessary, Skill levels may be combined.
If a bracket has 3 teams or less, this bracket will most likely be combined with another bracket.
Amateur format will be round robin with top teams from each pool advancing to playoffs. Each team will be guaranteed minimum 4 games. Pools and amount of teams in each pool will be determined based on how many teams are in the given event.

The tournament is designed to provide a fair and competitive environment for all participants, adhering to a structured format and set of rules.
TD Authority:
The Tournament Director (TD) and Committee reserve the right to modify the format of any bracket, division, or level as necessary to ensure the smooth operation of the event. They also have the authority to change any rules or policies as needed. This adaptability is essential for responding to unforeseen circumstances and for enhancing the tournament experience for all participants.
Format may be abbreviated if necessary due to any unforeseen circumstance, but the tournament directors will do the best they can to get all matches played and keep regular format.

Refund Policy
$10 Withdrawl fee + (excluding the stripe and pickleball brackets service fee) offered until May 15th 2025.
50% refunds offered from May 16th until June 13th (2 weeks before tournament).
No refunds after June 13th.
Prize Money
For 4.5+ open $$$ events $30 from each entrant's event fee will go towards prize money for that event. Payouts for each event will be split as follows. Gold medalists get 60%, silver medalists get 25%, bronze medalists get 15%.
For example, if there are 20 teams in men's doubles open, that is 40 total players. The total prize money for that event would be 40*30=$1200. The team who wins gold would be paid out $720, Silver would be paid out $300, and Bronze would be paid out $180.
For Co-ed split age Open event $20 from each players event fee will go towards prize money for that event. Payouts for each event will be split as follows. Gold medalists get 60%, silver medalists get 25%, bronze medalists get 15%.
