Aiken Pickleball, Inc. is hosting the 9th Annual Palmetto Indoor Pickleball Doubles Invitational Tournament. This event will be held on Friday, August 4th through Sunday, August 6th at Odell Weeks Activities Center in Aiken, SC.

Registration fee is $55 and includes two events. There is a $10.00 charge for a third event. Pickleball Brackets will impose a service fee at the end of checkout.

For those who did not pre-order t-shirts, t-shirts will be available for purchase at the event on a first-come, first-served basis.

On Thursday, August 3, clinics at various levels will be offered to all registered players for a fee of $10.00 per player. A maximum of 16 players will be allowed in each clinic. The schedule is as follows:

3.0 clinic - 12:00-1:25 PM

3.5 clinic - 1:30 2:55 PM

2.5 clinic - 3:00-4:25 PM

Clinics will be given by Mo Garcia (Aiken Pickleball's head teaching professional and IPTPA and PPR Level II Instructor).

Players will sign up with a prearranged partner. Your team will play one match against every other team in your bracket.

As registration proceeds, tournament management reserves the option to combine brackets as needed if brackets do not fill.

A team must play at the skill level of the higher rated player, and at the age group of the younger player. Age is calculated as of 12/31/2023.

In divisions where a set partner is required, you may register and identify your partner or request "Need partner". Your identified partner must register within 30 days of your registration, or the team will be moved to the waiting list. When the identified partner registers after the 30-day grace period, the team will automatically move from the waiting list back to the active list if there is a slot available and both players have paid.

If a player needs a partner, the team will automatically move from the wait list to the active list once a partner is identified, registers, and both players have paid if there is an available slot to move to. Your spot in the tournament is not guaranteed until you and your partner have registered and all fees have been paid in full.

Gold, silver, and bronze medals will be awarded in each event.

There are no referees. Matches are self-monitored. If a referee is requested, we will do our best to provide one.

The ball used will be the orange Onix Fuse indoor. Players will not be allowed to wear orange shirts.

First tie-breaker: head-to-head matches won.

Second tie-breaker: point differential of all games played.

(e.g., Team A won Match 1 11-8, 11-4, so they would have a point differential of +10.

Team A then wins the second match 11-9, 2-11, 11-6.

For this round, they would have a point 50 differential of -2.

This would give them a total for the day of +8.)

Fourth tie-breaker: point differential against next-highest team. (e.g., If the teams are tied for second, use point differentials against the first-place team.)

Cancellation deadline is 6 PM on July 29th, 2023. No refunds for any reason after that date.

Cancellations prior to that date are subject to a $10 administration fee.
