Rating Systems: DUPR and VAIR
DUPR: In order to register for a tournament in Pickleball Tournaments (dot com) all players must have a DUPR account and your DUPR rating will determine which events you qualify for.
VAIR: The Victory Pickleball Series believes VAIR is a superior rating system and we will be putting all tournament games into the VAIR system. There is a LOT that comes with us using VAIR, including:
- ALL Gold Medal winners will have their games submitted to VAIR and given a free one-year VAIRified rating ($59 value per player).
- Access to streamed videos through VAIRTV.com
We need ALL players to sign up for a free VAIR account here: https://bit.ly/4j6zX7o
Event format:
1. All events will start with Round Robin games (aka "Pool Play") and are one game played to 11, WIN BY TWO for each match.
2. ALL TEAMS from each event will move into a single-elimination bracket to determine our Gold, Silver, and Bronze medal winners. Games are again, one game to 11, win by two except the final Gold/Bronze matches.
3. Gold and Bronze matches are ONE game to 15.
