The health and safety of all participants, spectators, volunteers, and staff is a priority of the Peak Pickleball Classic. By participating in the tournament, players acknowledge that pickleball and other physical activities involve inherent risks of injury and agree to participate at their own discretion and within their individual physical capabilities.
Participants are encouraged to:
Arrive properly warmed up and physically prepared for competition.
Stay adequately hydrated throughout the tournament, particularly during periods of warm or humid weather.
Wear appropriate athletic footwear and clothing and use equipment that is in safe playing condition.
Notify tournament staff immediately of any injury, illness, unsafe court condition, or other safety concern.
Discontinue play if experiencing significant pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, or other symptoms that may make continued participation unsafe.
Follow all tournament rules, facility policies, and instructions provided by tournament officials or staff.
Tournament organizers reserve the right to delay, suspend, relocate, or discontinue play when weather, court conditions, facility conditions, or other circumstances create a potential safety concern.
Participants are responsible for determining their own fitness and ability to safely participate. The Peak Pickleball Classic, Peak Physical Therapy, the Coomes Center, tournament organizers, sponsors, staff, and volunteers are not responsible for injuries, illnesses, accidents, lost or damaged personal property, or other risks associated with participation, except as otherwise required by applicable law.
In the event of an injury or medical emergency, tournament staff will assist in contacting appropriate emergency medical services when necessary. Participation in the Peak Pickleball Classic signifies acknowledgment and acceptance of these health and safety considerations.
