Welcome to the first tournament at Pickle & Social Gwinnet. This will be the first tournament at the amazing new 16 court facility. Pickle and Social Gwinnett features six indoor, two pavilion covered, and eight outdoor pickleball courts. Each court is professionally made with true asphalt and dedicated nets.

Schedule of play:

Saturday, February 17 - Men's & Women's Doubles

Sunday, February 18 - Mixed Doubles

Competition each day may begin as early as 8:00 AM. Specific start times for each event will be posted and emailed to players approximately one week prior to the event.

Format is Round Robin with medal brackets or matches to follow the round robin.Skills levels include 2.5,3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5+.

However, Skill levels will be divided or combined by age after registration is completed to ensure that teams will play other teams of similar age.

A team must play at the skill level of the higher rated player (or higher) and the age group of the younger player. Age is calculated as of 12/31/2024.

RATINGS

- Pickleballbrackets ratings will be used.

- For new players with no rating, the PickleballBrackets.com self-rating will be used.

- Players who do not have a PickleballBrackets.com rating but do have an official USAPA, UTPR or DUPR ratings should self-rate using their DUPR or UTPR rating.

-Players with a UTPR or DUPR rating that is higher than their Pickleballbracket calculated tournament rating may be moved to the higher level at the discretion of the tournament director.

You may register and identify your partner or request "Need partner". Selecting that you "need a partner” allows other players to see that you are available to play in the tournament. We do our best to introduce players that need partners, but this selection does not mean that the tournament will find a partner for you. It is still your responsibility to find a partner.

There are no referees. Matches are self-monitored. If a referee is requested, we will do our best to provide one.

Registration fee is $80 and includes both events.

This is an outdoor/indoor tournament. There are no refunds for weather related cancellations. Players may purchase Tournament Insurance (TI). TI covers any weather-related cancellations. If all events are canceled a player purchasing TI will be refunded 100 percent of their registration & event fees. If a player plays in an event and other events are canceled the player will be refunded the event fee for the canceled event.

Tournament insurance also covers if a player withdraws due to injury (documentation may be required) or due to a family emergency.

REFUNDS

Cancellation deadline is 9pm February 1, 2024. No refunds for any reason after that date. Cancellations

prior to that date are subject to a $15 administration fee. Your spot in the tournament is not guaranteed until your partner has registered and all fees have been paid in full.

This is an outdoor tournament. There are no refunds for weather related cancellations unless a player has purchased tournament cancellation insurance.

We will make every effort to complete all events. Tournament Director reserves the right to change format, shorten games, or make any other changes they feel will help complete the event.

Players who do not show up for their event and fail to notify the tournament director prior OR leave the event without notifying the tournament director after it has started are subject to a $25 fine. The fine must be paid before registering for any other Southern Pickleball events.

ALL REFUNDS will be sent within 7days after the tournament is completed.
