Founded nearly ten years ago, Hope’s Closet was created to give children in foster care the best life possible and to ease challenges faced by foster parents. We operate a bright and inviting boutique intended to show foster children they are cared for and to give them comfort, confidence, and dignity along with the clothes they pick out. By providing seasonal wardrobes, back to school shopping, and holiday gifts free of charge, we help foster parents conserve resources and remove barriers to taking in new placements. Because they know they can come to us for necessities, foster parents can be open to welcoming children of all ages and stages. Hope’s Closet also offers specialized training, support groups, social events, and more to help ensure that foster parents aren’t alone.
No child chooses to be in foster care, but we can all choose to support them. Through Hope’s Closet, our community can positively impact foster children by providing financial support, donating clothing, volunteering, and creating awareness.
