Our premier winter tournament is back—and bigger than ever—with nearly 600 players competing each year. After three incredible years at the iconic Delray Beach Tennis Center, the 2026 Boca Open moves to a brand-new home at the prestigious Patch Reef Park in Boca Raton, FL, taking place February 26 – March 1, 2026.

Patch Reef Park now features 18 brand-new, fully covered pickleball courts, in addition to its existing 12 courts, making it one of South Florida’s top pickleball destinations.

We work hard to ensure every aspect of the tournament is smooth, enjoyable, and memorable for all participants! With years of experience playing in pickleball tournaments and running them, we’re dedicated to providing the best possible experience for every player. Here’s what you can expect from our tournament:

<li>Round Robin Play: Most brackets are run as Round Robin, followed by a single-elimination playoff for the top teams, ensuring every player gets 4 to 8 games (see full details below).</li>

<li>Players Enter Scores: We use Pickleball tournaments.com new feature that allows players to enter scores on their phones, which allows you to complete your bracket efficiently.</li>

<li>Fair Play: We carefully monitor all brackets to prevent sandbagging by reviewing players' DUPR and tournament histories (see details below).</li>

<li>Amazing Prizes: Winners will take home medals and exciting prizes from our sponsors, including paddles, pickleball bags, water bottles, gift certificates for pickleball gear and restaurants, and more! Last year, our Delray Beach tournament awarded $24,176 in amateur prizes across all 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.</li>

<li>Tournament Shirts: Players can choose from a variety of tournament shirt styles, including short sleeve, racerback, muscle shirt, long sleeve, or quarter-zip.</li>

<li>Live Streaming: We know you love to watch your matches! We live stream and record multiple courts on the <a href="https://www.youtube.com/@PickleballisLife" target="_blank" style="color: #0000EE;">Pickleball is Life YouTube channel</a> and <a href="https://www.facebook.com/DelrayBeachPickleballisLife" target="_blank" style="color: #0000EE;">Facebook Page</a>. Many of the matches will be available to watch after the tournament.</li>

<li>Player Hospitality: Enjoy complimentary snacks, fruit, and water in our well-stocked hospitality tent, available to all players.</li>

<li>Referees for Key Matches: Referees will be present for Pro and Senior Pro matches, as well as most amateur medal matches, ensuring a professional and fair competition.</li>

<li>Food Options: A variety of food vendors will be available for players and spectators to enjoy.</li>

<big>Tournament Brackets</big>

Adult amateur brackets include skill levels: 2.5 to 5.0 with age levels 9-34, 35-49, 50-59, Senior Amateur age levels 60-69, 70-74, 75+. Junior brackets have age levels 8-12 and 13-16. There are Open/Pro (all ages), Champions Open/Pro (age 50+) and Masters Open/Pro (age 60+) Moneyball brackets for all events with $50/player going towards prize money! The Junior, Amateur and Pro brackets are on different days from the Senior Amateur (60+), Champions Pro (50+) and Masters Pro (60+) brackets. You can only play in one event per day, but because senior players can play down in age you are allowed to play in both senior and non-senior events since they are on different days.

<big>Ivan Lendl Charity Exhibition & ProAm - </big> On Thursday night of the tournament there will be a charity exhibition hosted by Ivan Lendl and top Pros to support Ivan's charity, the Adaptive Sports Program, which serves youth and adults living with physical disabilities. You can purchase tickets during the registration or <a href="https://pickleballislife.life/shop/ols/categories/ivan-lendl-exhibition" target="_blank" style="color: #0000EE;">CLICK HERE</a> for general seating, VIP seating or a ProAm ticket to play a game with Ivan. Individual & Corporate charity donations are accepted. Ivan Lendl is widely regarded as one of the greatest tennis players of all time, he was ranked world No. 1 in singles for a then-record 270 weeks, won 94 singles titles, won eight major singles titles and was runner-up 11 times, making him the first man to contest 19 major finals.

<big>VIP Tournament Seating - </big> There will be VIP court side seating for the two main stadium courts. You will receive a tournament shirt, hat or visor (email pickleballismylife@gmail.com your preference and for shirts, your shirt size), have water and snacks at your table all day and a pass to our food trucks for a sandwich. Make sure to select the VIP Seating.

<big>Sandbagging Policy - </big>Our goal is to make sure you are competing against players at the same skill level and age. All brackets will be checked for sandbaggers by checking the player's DUPR, PBR and tournament play history. If a player's rating and/or has competed and won gold at a certain skill level they will be required to play up. We have created a fair amount of age levels and as long as we can get four teams/players in a specific skill level/age level we will allow that bracket to go forward and not combine brackets.

<big>Event Formats - </big>Our goal is to give players the most games possible. Brackets with 4 to 14 teams will be round robin with playoffs, giving teams that don't make the playoffs 4 to 6 games and teams that make the playoffs 6 to 8 games. Brackets with 15+ teams may be double elimination, possibly round robin with three or more pools, or split by another set of age categories.

Bracket Size - Bracket Formats: (for singles its players instead of teams)

4 teams - Double round robin, teams get 6 games to 11 win by 2. All 4 teams go to playoffs and get more games.

5 teams - Single round robin, teams get 4 games to 15 win by 2. Top 4 teams go to playoffs and get more games.

6 teams - Single round robin, teams get 5 games to 15 win by 2. Top 4 teams go to playoffs and get more games.

7 teams - Single round robin, teams get 6 games to 11 win by 2. Top 4 teams go to playoffs and get more games.

8 teams - Two pools of 4 teams, single round robin, games to 15 win by 2. Top 2 teams from each pool go to playoffs and get more games.

9 teams - Two pools of 4 and 5 teams, single round robin, teams get 3 or 4 games to 15 win by 2. Top 4 teams from each pool go to playoffs and get more games.

10 teams - Two pools of 5 teams. Teams get 4 games to 15 win by 2. Top 2 teams from each pool go to playoffs and get more games.

11 teams - Two pools of 5 and 6 teams. Teams get 4 or 5 games to 15 win by 2. Top 2 teams from each pool go to playoffs and get more games.

12 teams - Two pools of 6 teams. Teams get 5 games to 15 win by 2. Top 2 teams from each pool go to playoffs and get more games.

13 teams - Two pools of 6 and 7 teams. Teams get 5 or 6 games to 15 win by 2. Top 3 teams from each pool go to playoffs and get more games.

14 teams - Two pools of 7 teams. Teams get 6 games to 15 win by 2. Top 3 teams from each pool go to playoffs and get more games.

Round robins have a single elimination playoff round, format decided by the tournament director.

15 and higher teams will play double elimination with the consolation draw able to win gold.

For brackets with 3 or less teams, the tournament director will need to combine brackets by age and/or skill level to make the bracket viable.

NOTE: Depending on a variety of factors, the tournament director may make changes to these bracket formats.

Refund Policy

<big>Refund policy without Registration & Weather Insurance - </big>Refunds are available for registration and event fees minus the 3rd party service fees described below if canceled before the cancellation deadline of 2/1/26. Refund requests made after that date and before the start of the tournament will be granted minus a $25 processing fee to cover the purchase of shirts, medals, balls, etc. and minus the 3rd party service fees described below. There are no refunds after the tournament starts.

<big>Refund policy with Registration & Weather Insurance - </big>Full Refunds are available for registration and event fees if canceled before the cancellation deadline of 2/1/26. This saves you the 3rd party service fees. Refund requests made after that date and before the start of the tournament will be granted minus the 3rd party service fees described below. This saves you the $25 processing fee. After the tournament starts and if you have not played any events in the tournament then refunds of the registration and event fees will be granted minus a $25 processing fee and minus the 3rd party service fees described below. Without insurance you would receive no refund in this scenario. After the tournament starts and if you have already played in an event in the tournament then refunds of just the un-played event fees will be granted, not the registration fee since you competed already. Without insurance you would receive no refund in this scenario. Refunds are only granted if you are injured prior to starting an event or if the event is completely canceled without it being rescheduled, see below. Refunds are not granted if you start an event or if the event is rescheduled due to weather on a different date/time during the tournament dates. The Registration & Weather Insurance must be purchased when you register.

Brackets may be combined by age and/or skill at the discretion of the tournament director. Refunds will be issued as quickly as possible, but could occur after the conclusion of the tournament. This is an outdoor event and there is no refund, unless you purchase the Registration & Weather Insurance, for rain or an unforeseen circumstance (flood, power outage, etc.) and the tournament coordinators will do all they can to play matches. If brackets are in mid play when it rains or an unforeseen circumstance occurs the situation will be evaluated on a case by case basis to determine if the bracket may be finished or if winners may be determined. There are no rain dates.

<big>3rd PARTY SERVICE FEES: </big>Include 1) payment fee (i.e. credit card fee or Venmo Services fee) and 2) the PickleballBrackets Software Fee, which is non-refundable as stated at checkout.

<big>REGISTRATION & WEATHER INSURANCE: </big>During registration you may choose to purchase the $20 Registration and Weather Insurance Policy in the event you have to cancel out of the tournament after the cancellation deadline above. The insurance will also give you a partial refund in case you have to cancel out of the tournament or your event is cancelled due to weather without a make-up day option. See above for details of the refunds if you purchase the Registration & Weather Insurance.

Prize Money

The Open (All Ages), Champions Open (50+) and Masters Open (60+) brackets will essentially be Moneyball's using the additional $50 per player to fund the prize money. Payouts will be 60% going to Gold, 25% going to Silver and 15% going to Bronze. Total prize money depends on the number of players registering for each Pro bracket.

31 Men's Singles Players - Total $1,550, 1st $930, 2nd $388, 3rd $233 (per player)

10 Men's Champions Singles (50+) - Total $500, 1st $300, 2nd $125, 3rd $75 (per player)

15 Women's Singles Players - Total $750, 1st $450, 2nd $188, 3rd $113 (per player)

28 Men's Doubles Teams - Total $2,800, 1st $1,680, 2nd $700, 3rd $420 (per team)

5 Men's Champions (50+) Doubles Teams - Total $500, 1st $300, 2nd $125, 3rd $75 (per team)

7 Men's Masters (60+) Doubles Teams - Total $700, 1st $420, 2nd $175, 3rd $105 (per team)

Please note: This is an outdoor event, even though the courts are covered, and there are no refunds unless you purchase the Registration & Weather Insurance during registration (see refund policy above). This insurance covers cancellations due to weather conditions that prevent us from playing matches or unforeseen circumstances such as flooding, power outages, etc.

Tournament coordinators will make every effort to continue play in the event of weather disruptions. If a bracket is in progress when play is interrupted, the situation will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis to determine whether the bracket can be completed or if winners can be declared.

There are no scheduled make-up dates.
