TOURNAMENT DETAILS

This tournament will launch the premier Pickleball Money Tour bringing amateurs the professional experience!

It is the first in a series of monthly, non-sanctioned one-day money tournaments to be held across multiple cities. The tour will initiate in Tucson (1st Saturday of the month) and expand to Albuquerque (2nd Saturday of the month) and two more cities in 2025. Additional cities will be added in future years.

This specific tournament will feature 8 round robin doubles events with 16 teams per event (minimum of 8 teams). If there is significant overflow, we will open it up to additional teams, which will increase the prize money.

PLAY TIME

Match play will begin at 7:00 am. Warm up will open at 6:00 am.

Pool play to 15, win by 2 or first team to 18. Medal rounds will play best 2/3 scoring to 11, winning by 2. Players are guaranteed 3 matches per event. All events will start and finish in a single day.

VENUE and FACILITIES

This tournament will be hosted at the Tucson Racquet & Fitness Club at 4100 N. Country Club, Tucson, AZ 85716. Free parking is available on site.

FEES and REGISTRATION

$135 per event

Important: After registering, teams have 5 days to register their partner. Teams that miss this deadline will be moved to the waitlist.

Annual PMA Membership Fee - Regular - $250/year

Annual PMA Membership Fee - Family - $200/person (maximum of 4)

First-In PMA Membership Fee - $350 lifetime (only for 1st 500 signing up by 12/31/24)

SPECIAL NOTE: Players winning cash prizes of $600 or more will need to complete required paperwork for tax purposes, which will include provision of their Social Security number. Please make sure to have this information available at the tournament.

ELIGIBILITY

Players are eligible for events based on a player's DUPR rating. The Tournament Director reserves the right to make the ultimate rating decision, which could lead to match forfeiture as well as registration fees, so choose on the side of up versus down!

Players may play at a level that is .50 higher than their official rating.

OTHER AMENITIES

The Tucson Racquet & Fitness Club is a full-service facility with a restaurant, bar and gift shop on premises.

CONDUCT POLICY

By participating in the tournament, players agree to the PMT Conduct Policy. Players will be expected to exhibit good sportsmanship at all times, which includes refraining from vulgar or aggressive language and/or behavior on or off the court, adhering to the rules of pickleball as outlined by USA Pickleball including ensuring fair line calls to the best of their ability. Referees will be available during regular match play to monitor the game should disputes arise that cannot be managed by the players. All medal matches will have a referee. The Tournament Director reserves the right to remove any player from the tournament who violates this conduct policy.

REFUND POLICY

This is an outdoor tournament. IN CASE OF WEATHER DELAYS, WE WILL ATTEMPT TO PLAY ALL MATCHES SCHEDULED FOR THAT DAY. Should an event be cancelled due to weather or player cancellation, we will credit the player's account for use at a future tournament in any tour city. No cash refunds will be made.

Participation is at a player's own risk. By participating in this tournament, players acknowledge and agree to the terms of this Health & Safety policy. The tournament organizers are not responsible for any injuries or accidents sustained during the tournament.

First aid equipment will be available at the tournament desk including a defibrillator.

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, players are asked to adhere to the following:

- Consult your doctor before participating, especially if you have any pre-existing medical conditions.

- Warm-up and stretch thoroughly before playing to prevent injuries.

- Stay hydrated throughout the tournament by drinking plenty of water.

- Wear proper attire and footwear: closed-toe court shoes are mandatory.

- Be aware of your surroundings: avoid collisions with other players, court hazards, and equipment.

- Communicate clearly and respectfully with your opponents and teammates.

- Play within your limits: don't attempt risky maneuvers that could lead to injury.

- Report any unsafe conditions to the tournament organizers immediately.

- Listen to your body: if you experience any pain or discomfort, stop playing and seek medical attention.
