Update October 19, 2024

We are able to make the 12 courts work for Pickleboo on Friday and Sunday although they will be long days. On Saturday, we have added 6-8 courts at Performance Pickleball which is just a few miles away. Once we get the schedule all worked out, you will receive a notification if your matches are being held at Pouncey Tract or at Performance Pickleball. All benefits of this event from the swag bag, t-shirts, give aways, raffle, medals, etc. will be available at both locations.

Update October 14, 2024

The County of Henrico is limiting the tournament to the original 12 courts and not opening the new 12 courts until the week after the event. Due to this change, we will be closing regular registration early and anyone entering will be placed on the wait list and we will do everything possible to expand the event to include as many players as possible on the wait list once we look at the event schedule start and end times.

In order to get the shirts in time, we will place the order on October 13, 2024. Any registrations after will not receive a shirt. We will offer a towel for those who do not get a shirt.

Any players without a partner when we get to the waitlist stage, will be moved to the waitlist and those with partners will take that slot.

$45 Registration Fee, $10 Referee Fee, $5 Volunteer Fee for a total of $60. plus $15 per event.

All matches will have referees to the extent that referees are available.

Format

Winners Bracket

This tournament will be double elimination, 2 out of 3 to 11 win by 2 in the winners bracket.

Losers Bracket / Opportunity Bracket

One game to 15 win by 2 in the loser bracket. Keep winning or this event is over....

Losers bracket can win all the way back to the Gold!

Some brackets may be merged due to size. We will merge by skill level first, then age at last resort. Smaller brackets may be moved to a round robin. The tournament briefing will notify you should that change be made along with the scoring changes if any.

Changes may be made as necessary to any/all brackets at the discretion of the tournament director up to the start of play of each bracket.

No refunds for any reason!

If you withdraw you will be issued a credit for a future tournament that we run less a $15 charge

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY - This is an outdoor tournament. If weather is a factor, we will do all we can to play all matches. There are no refunds. We will offer a make up day if possible or offer an event credit for that specific event. If this is your only event, then you will receive a credit for the entire event less the $15 cost of the swag bag whether you choose to receive it or not. There are no indoor backup plans for this tournament.

Open - Gold 50%, Silver 30%, Bronze 20%

Sign up early so you don't end up on the waiting list. Last year many players were not able to enter. At least 7 teams are required for full funding. Otherwise, only the entry fees will be rewarded.
