Current Membership with Pickleball Canada is REQUIRED for this tournament.
All Registrations will be processed through Pickleball Brackets (www.pickleballbrackets.com) and all registrants will need to create an account on the Pickleball Brackets website if you do not have one. It is free and easy to complete prior to tournament registration dates.
IMPORTANT: A registration is considered complete when both team members have completed their registration and paid the fees. If one of the partners has not completed their registration within 5 days of the team's registration, then the team is put on the WAITLIST.
YOUR RATING: As you know it may take some time before your DUPR rating can be used for tournaments under Pickleball.com. For this tournament and until that integration is complete, your Pickleball Brackets Rating (PBR) will be used. YOU MUST PLAY IN YOUR CURRENT RATING OR HIGHER
**If you do not have a PBR and are using a self rating be advised that the Tournament Director reserves the right to reassign you to an alternate skill level if your selection is determined to be unsuitable.
ABOUT THE TOURNAMENT: Events will be played in accordance with the IFP rules and regulations in effect at the time of the tournament. IFP approved equipment only. Please refer to the IFP web site for details: http://ipickleball.org/rulesIFP_Paddle_Material_Specifications
OFFICIATING MATCHES: We will endeavour to have all matches officiated at this unsanctioned event
SKILL LEVELS PLAYING: 3.0, 3.5, 4.0+ will be played
Teams will play in a Round Robin format
All games are 1 to 11, win by 1
No Bracket Medal; Medal based on end ranked results:
Total matches won
1st tie-breaker: head-to-head matches won.
2nd tie-breaker: point differential of all games played.
(e.g., Team A won Match 1 11-8, 11-4, so they would have a point differential of +10.
Team A then wins the second match 11-9, 2-11, 11-6.
For this round, they would have a point 50 differential of -2.
This would give them a total for the day of +8.)
3rd tie-breaker: head-to-head point differential.
4th tie-breaker: point differential against next-highest team. (e.g., If the teams are tied for second, use point differentials against the first-place team.)
