Join us to participate in Pictona’s annual fall tournament on October 24-27, 2024. You’ll appreciate playing in a round robin format capped with a playoff. In our round robin played on a pod of courts, there is minimal wait time between games. Earn your way to the championship finals which are played in the MetroHealth Stadium for a memorable experience.

Women’s doubles, men’s doubles, mixed doubles, and singles will be available.

We offer five skill levels, from 3.0 to 5.0, and 9 age groups (<30, 30+, 40+, 50+, 55+, 60+, 65+, 70+, 75+). Join us for the entire tournament.

We were flattered to be called the “best pickleball facility in the world” after USAP held its Diamond Amateur Championship at Pictona, followed by the APP, PPA, and Major League Pickleball hosting their tournaments at Pictona. We’ll seek to match that by providing you with exceptional service provided by our staff and member volunteers.

Tournament Facts

Dates: October 24-27, 2024

Registration closes September 19, 2024 at 11:55 pm

Location: Pictona at Holly Hill, Florida

Divisions: Men's Doubles and Singles, Women's Doubles and Singles, and Mixed Doubles

Age categories: <30, 30+, 40+, 50+, 55+, 60+, 65+, 70+, 75+

Skill levels: 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 and 5.0

Brackets with less than 4 teams registered will be combined with another bracket.

Individual age group medals will be offered for combined age group brackets.

Format: Round robin with playoff in all brackets

Thursday October 24: Over 60 Men's Doubles, Over 60 Women's Doubles

Friday October 25: Over 60 Mixed Doubles, Under 60 Men's and Women's Singles

Saturday October 26: Under 60 Mixed Doubles, Over 60 Men's and Women's Singles

Sunday October 27: Under 60 Men's Doubles, Under 60 Women's Doubles

Franklin X-40 ball will be used for the tournament.

Pictona will have 41 dedicated pickleball courts each fenced in for tournament play.

Each bracket will have a dedicated set of courts (pod) for their round robin matches.

Only paddles on the USAP approved paddles list can be used during the tournament.

Tournament results will be incorporated into DUPR if all players participating in the game have their DUPR account linked to Pickleball Brackets.

Tournament Pricing:

Tournament fee: $70 per person registration plus event fee of $15/event.

A Pickleball Brackets Service Fee of $5/event will be added with a maximum of $10 service fee.

Medals: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each category

When using Players Needing Partners feature, players are responsible for contacting other players for finding partners.

Food and Beverage Policy

Bottle fillers and water fountains are located throughout the Pictona Campus. Water and sports drinks are the only beverages permitted to be brought into Pictona and players may bring fruit and energy bars into the facility. We request no other drinks or food be brought into Pictona. The Depot (our concession stand) and The Kitchen (our restaurant) provide an appealing selection of items at reasonable prices. The purchase of food and beverages is a vital part of supporting the costs to operate the not-for-profit Pictona.

Visit our new Player Shop. Pictona is expanding the Player Shop in Pictona 1 to a larger dedicated room. The Player Shop carries paddles , accessories, clothes, shoes and gift items.

Dog Policy

The City of Holly Hill does not allow dogs on the Pictona Campus.

Parking

We have 400 parking spaces surrounding the Pictona Campus and an additional 400 spaces within 100 yards. Parking is free.

Refund Policy

Withdraw from the tournament for any reason before September 19, 2024 and we’ll refund your registration and event fee less a $25 service fee. Refunds will be processed at completion of tournament.

No refunds when cancelling after September 19, 2024.

Prior to September 19, 2024, players may seek to transfer the registration to another person. A $5/event transfer fee must be paid to cover the non refundable software service fee from Pickleball Brackets.

Weather Policy

There are no refunds for weather related cancellations.

Pictona has 13 covered courts and 36 outdoor courts. We also have 4 VAPTR machines that are excellent for removing water from courts. In the event of rain and/or lightning, we will continue play on the 13 covered courts as long as it is safe to do so, and we will do our best to dry the outdoor courts. With the reduced number of courts, Pictona may modify the tournament format but will seek to get all scheduled matches for that day played, playing as late as necessary.
