Sunday, July 12 — Women's and Mixed
• Women's Doubles Open (4.0+ DUPR minimum, cash prizes)
• Women's Doubles 3.0+, 3.5+, 4.0+, 4.5+ (all ages)
• Mixed Doubles Open (4.0+ DUPR minimum, cash prizes)
• Mixed Doubles 4.0+, 4.5+ (all ages)
Match Format
• Round robin pool play leads into single elimination playoffs
• Pool sizes range from 5 to 7 teams
• Pool play: games to 11, win by 1
• Playoffs: games to 15, win by 2
• Top teams from each pool advance to the playoff bracket
Officiating
• Pool play is self officiated. Players call their own lines and score.
• Medal round matches are refereed by tournament staff
• Disputes during pool play are resolved by the Tournament Director
Division Minimums and Merges
• Minimum 4 teams per division to run
• Divisions that don't hit the minimum will be merged into the next division up
• The Tournament Director reserves the right to adjust, combine, or split divisions as needed
• Additional divisions may be added based on demand
Tournament Ball
• Official ball: Franklin X-40
• Provided for all matches
Paddles and Rules
• USA Pickleball (USAP) 2026 rules govern play
• All paddles must be USAP approved
• Tournament staff will conduct spot checks if a paddle is challenged
• Visibly damaged, delaminated, or altered paddles may be disallowed
• Reference the current approved paddle list at usapickleball.org
DUPR
• Match results will be uploaded to DUPR for rated divisions
• Open division results are not submitted to DUPR
• Players should have a DUPR account (free at Dupr.com)
• Open divisions require both players to have a minimum 4.0 DUPR rating
• The Tournament Director reserves the right to move players to the appropriate division based on rating
Venue and Amenities
• 6 courts at PIKL Los Angeles
• Portable nets, outdoor play
• Free on site parking
• Restrooms on site
• Snacks and water provided to all registered players
• Spectators are free and unlimited. Family and friends welcome.
Age Policy
• All ages welcome. Divisions are organized by skill level, not age.
• Players under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign the waiver at check in
Scheduling and Operations
• Players entering multiple divisions are responsible for managing scheduling conflicts
• While we aim to reduce overlaps, conflicts may still occur and are not grounds for a refund
• Match formats, pool sizes, and divisions may be modified based on weather, timing, or registration numbers
Conduct
• Proper court footwear required at all times
• Players are expected to demonstrate good sportsmanship
• Unsportsmanlike behavior may result in forfeiture or removal without refund
Liability Waiver
By registering, participants acknowledge and accept all risks associated with play and agree to release and hold harmless PIKL Los Angeles, staff, sponsors, and affiliates from any liability for injuries, losses, or damages incurred during the event.
