Start times are subject to change even if it says "MORNING" and/or "AFTERNOON."
Brackets may be combined to the closest skill set or age group if bracket has 3 or less teams.
This will be a Round Robin format (play each team once to 11 points, win by 2, switch at 6 to get seeded into a Single Elimination bracket. Depending on the size of the group, some brackets may have 2-4 pools of 4-7 teams each. When it comes to the Single Elimination round (Games to 15 win by 2, switch at 8), not all teams from the Round Robin will enter, we will have the top 2-4 teams per pool to enter the Single Elimination Bracket (win move on - lose and you're out).
The winning 2 Teams from the Semis play for Gold/Silver best of 3 games to 11 win by 2. The losing 2 Teams from Semis play for Bronze, best of 3 games to 11 win by 2). At 2nd game, switch sides. If 3rd game is played switch at 6 points.
Remember this is in memory of Cole and the support for OCJKids.org. Play well and have fun!
ABOUT COLE and OCJKIDS.org
He was an adventure seeker, a kind heart, a lover of food, a lover
of all things outdoors, animal lover, and most of all a lover to his
family and friends. He was loyal, compassionate, and also was a
big goofball. You could count on him for just about anything.
Although he had the biggest heart and warmest smile he was also
a protector. A strong young man that would advocate and stand
up for his loved ones and even those he didn’t know. Cole would
be proud his name is helping those who don’t have a safe role
model to follow through OCJ kids. Helping others was something
he did unconsciously and unconditionally.
In partnership with Department of Child Safety (DCS), OCJ Kids fills a gap
in the underfunded system. Working with DCS, OCJ Kids provides
resources statewide to kids upon removal from their home. OCJ does this
by providing essential resources, support during transitions and direction
when trying to navigate independent living when aged out of the foster care
system.
These children are removed due to neglect, abuse, or other safety
concerns. When a child is removed from their home, they are placed in a foster home,
kinship care, or a foster group home with other foster kids. By
OCJ Kids partners with 160 group homes across the state to provide
programs and support so the youth have many of the same opportunities
as non-foster youth.
