Tournament Description

Created by players for players. This is event was created to highlight the top female pickleball players in California.

With the goal of offering the most prize money ever to females in Southern California.

Women's Open | 11AM Start TimE

FORMAT OF PLAY

Doubles divisions start with round-robin pool play. The top teams from each pool will advance to quarter- finals and this will be a single-elimination bracket. The format of these games are:

WOMEN'S OPEN

Round-Robin (Pool Play): Score to 11, win by 2

Quarter-Finals (Single Elimination): Score to 15 win by 2

Semi-Finals (Single Elimination): Best 2 out of 3 games - score to 11, win by 2.

(Time permitting if time does not allow games will be score to 15, win by 2.)

Medal Matches: Best 2 out of 3 games - score to 11, win by 2.

Additional Information

All participants will receive swag bags will consist of Drinklits, Novos, Gruns, Karma Nuts and much more.

PADDLE LEGALITY

All players must use paddles that are currently approved by either the USAP at the time of the tournament. Any paddle that has been delaminated or modified in a way that invalidates its approval status is strictly prohibited.

SEEDING WILL BE BASED ON DUPR RATING.

Refund Policy

All players must complete payment and ensure a partner is chosen to secure their spot.

Both teammates must be registered and paid to compete. Payment is not accepted on the day of the event.

Withdrawals before registration closes on June 15, 2025 at 11:55pm will receive a full refund minus the $5 service fee from Pickleball Brackets. Players on the waitlist won't be charged the event fee unless they move into the event.

No refunds or credits are issued after registration closes on June 15, 2025 at 11:55pm

Prize Money

Confirmed Prize Money Breakdown is as Follows:

Women's Open

1st Place $3,000 ($1,500 per person)

2nd Place $1,000 ($500 per person)

3rd Place $500 ($250 per person)

All top finishers will receive a custom medal on top of prize money.

Weather

In case of disruptive weather or force majeure, the tournament will be rescheduled, and registrations will be valid for the new date. Refunds are only issued if requested before the cancellation deadline above.

All players must adhere to the PLAY in the ZONE Open Code of Conduct and venue rules, which ensures fair and safe competition. Violations such as threats, violence, harassment, or disruptive behavior will result in ejection of all parties involved, and possible legal action. No refunds will be given to players that violate PITZ or Venue code of conducts. Weapons, drugs, and alcohol are prohibited. PLAY in the ZONE will not be held liable for any injuries or losses during the event.
