This tournament is meant to be a competitive fun doubles tournament for skill levels 3.0 to 5.0 and to showcase the National Bank Financial - Okanagan Wealth Advisor Pickleball Complex in Vernon, B.C. These are indoor courts with outdoor court surfaces. The tournament is sanctioned by Pickleball Canada and Pickleball B.C.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT
This tournament will be a double knockout format. Skill/Age events will be available in Men's, Women’s, and Mixed Doubles at the 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 and 5.0+. Age groups are 19+ and 60+. There will be a Junior event as well - ages 11 -14 and 15-18 years with no skill differentiation.
Winners side of brackets: best two out of three to 11, win by 2.
Losers side of brackets: one game to 15, win by 2
Bronze medal game: one game to 15, win by 2
Gold medal game: best two out of three to 11, win by 2 with the possibility of an additional game to 15, win by 2
SCHEDULE
Women will play on Friday, August 12, Mixed on Saturday, August 13 and Men and Juniors on Sunday, August 14. Event scheduling by time will be available closer to the event based on event sizes.
MUST BE PICKLEBALL CANADA MEMBER
As a Pickleball Canada sanctioned tournament all registrants must be Pickleball Canada members in good standing through August 14, 2022.

REGISTRATION
o The only way to register for the tournament is online through the tournament site on Pickleball Brackets. You must have an account set up with Pickleball Brackets. If you do not, create one prior to registering in the tournament.
o Registration - $65 includes plus $15 an event.
• For a guaranteed spot in the tournament, the second partner must register within five days of the first partner's registration. Teams that are incomplete after FIVE days will be moved to the waiting list. Once the second partner registers, the team will be entered into the event IF THERE IS STILL ROOM IN THE EVENT AND THE TOURNAMENT. When entering who your partner is you will be prompted to search if they have a Pickleball Brackets account. If they do have an account, select them. If they do not have an account, select ‘Need a Partner”. When your partner registers they will select you.
• Waiver can be reviewed by downloading it.
• Online payment via Stripe is available. Stripe allows credit and debit card payments.
o Participation in the tournament is contingent on both you and your partner registering and paying the fees in full.
PLAYER PLACEMENT
The organizing committee reserves the right to cap the number of registrants on any one day of the tournament when the facilities/schedule reach capacity.
The tournament director reserves the right to review, and possibly alter the rating of players who self-rate below or above their actual rating.
The tournament reserves the right to move players and teams between skill level brackets if on verification the wrong event has been entered.
The tournament reserves the right to combine brackets at their sole discretion based on participation numbers.
SKILL RATING
Players must enter events based on:
1. their current Canadian Tournament Player Rating (CTPR),
2. their Pickleball Brackets profile tournament rating, or
3. a standard skill level bracket that may be supported by a U.S. Tournament Player Rating (UTPR) or current level at club play.
It is important that players who do not yet have a CTPR because they have not participated in their first sanctioned event go to the following link at Pickleball Canada and complete the requested online player questionnaire. This is a one-time requirement to help the PCO Ratings Group gather player data and provide guidance if required.

When registering at least one player must have a rating matching that event bracket. Provided that is the case a player may play up one level, but no player can play down a level.

• Players must use USAPA approved paddles.
• Official Tournament Ball to be used is CORE
