SKILL LEVEL
Pickleball Brackets.com requires that you “self-rate” your skills as you set up your profile. This is a general guide: 2.5 (Beginner), 3.0 (Recreational), 3.5 (Intermediate), 4.0 (Advanced) and 4.5+ (Expert). If you’re new to pickleball and do not have a DUPR account, we recommend signing up for the 2.5 event.
If you have a DUPR account, be sure to check your player profile for your self-rating on pickleballbrackets.com, as it should not be lower than your DUPR. If you don’t have a DUPR account, that is ok.
Have DUPR and unsure which skill event to sign up for? Use this as a guide:
2.5 Event: DUPR rating of up to 2.74
3.0 Event: DUPR rating between 2.75-3.24
3.5 Event: DUPR rating between 3.25-3.74
4.0 Event: DUPR rating between 3.75-4.24
4.5 Event: DUPR rating above 4.25
DUPR ratings will be used to seed pools. The match coordinator reserves the right to move you/your team to another skill level based on your/your partner’s DUPR rating, especially if your rating is more than .5 above the event bracket you registered for.
