Description
The Regency Kelowna Open Pickleball Tournament is a fun, social, competitive experience for ALL players, providing an opportunity to develop tournament playing skills.
There are opportunities for players to volunteer and experience working at the tournament desk, tournament operations and refereeing.
This is a TIER 2 SANCTIONED event, and results will affect your Canadian Tournament Pickleball Rating (CTPR).
This tournament has AGE brackets and SKILL brackets for singles, mixed and doubles, and Open (any skill, any age) and Senior Open (any skill, age 50+) brackets.
Brackets may be further sub-divided by age groups after registration.
Players have 7 days for both partners to register and pay. Incomplete registrations will be moved to the waitlist after 7 days.
Registration Dates:
Mon June 12, 7am PT to Mon July 3 9pm PT.
Event Dates:
Fri July 14 Event Day: Mens Singles, Womens Doubles
Sat July 15 Event Day: Mixed Doubles
Sun July 16 Event Day: Womens Singles, Mens Doubles
Format: double elimination best two out of three games to 11, win by 2. 'B' side one game to 15, win by 2.
Players are guaranteed a minimum of 3 games.

Players may be asked to change clothing if shirts are the colour of the ball.
The registration fee excludes GST.
The Tournament Director reserves the right to combine age and/or skill levels if required based on registrations; review and possibly alter the skill bracket entered for players who self-rate below or above their actual rating.
Pickleball Canada (PCO) Registration Requirement:
All registrants must be members in good standing through July 17, 2023 to play in this tournament.
Refund Policy
Registration Fees, minus a $15 Administration Fee, will be refunded for withdrawals before July 3, 9:00 pm pacific time. Any withdrawals after July 3, 9:01 pm will not be refunded. Refunds will not be issued for cancellations due to acts of nature ie rain or smoke.
Weather
Microclimates are a real thing around the courts! Potential rain delay decisions are made courtside. There is no backup rain day. Every effort will be made to accommodate any weather delays which may result in a later finish to the day (lights are available on the temporary courts, so play may extend into the evening if needed).
Health & Safety
This tournament will abide by all Public Health Orders and refunds will not be issued if cancelled due to PHO reasons ie restrictions on numbers for outdoor gatherings.
