The Salt City Open is the only event in New York State that is a qualifier to PPA Nationals! The PPA Tour will be sending one of their pros to town to conduct a pre-tournament clinic - waiting to find out who!
Which state has the best pickleball players?
The answer will be revealed soon enough, courtesy of the inaugural United Pickleball State Championship Series, a set of tournaments conducted across all 50 states in the country. The Gold Medalists from each of these tournaments will automatically secure invitations to the year-end UPA World Championship in Dallas, TX, and all event fees will be waived.
Champions Division
Participants who secure gold at a state championship are eligible for a complimentary event fee to the United States Championship in Dallas, TX. Those who win silver will get 50% off and bronze medalists get 33% off. This exclusive offer recognizes and rewards excellence in the Champions Division and ensures the best possible competition. This United States Championship will take place from November 4th to the 9th.
Skill Levels: 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, 5.0
Age Groups: 18 and Under, 19+, 35+, 50+, 60+, 70+
Playing Divisions: MS, WS, MD, WD, MXD
You will qualify at your age group for Nationals although age groups may be combined for the Salt City Open depending on numbers.
This is part of the New York Triple Crown series, which consists of three pickleball tournaments across Upstate New York:
May 24-26 - Wing City Open in Buffalo
June 7-9 - Flower City Open in Rochester
July 12-14 - Salt City Open in Syracuse (Liverpool)
Followed by PickleFEST XIV August 16-19
