WELCOME TO OUR FIRST EVER "SASQUATCH SLAM" PICKLEBALL TOURNAMENT IN BEAUTIFUL ELLIJAY, GEORGIA! We are thrilled to be able to present this tournament at one of the most beautiful times of the year in the North Georgia Mountains. We have 8 beautiful dedicated outdoor courts with additional courts as needed.

As a benefit all Gilmer Pickleball Club Members will receive a $10 discount when you register! PLEASE NOTE: THE DISCOUNT ONLY APPLIES TO THOSE WHO ARE MEMBERS PRIOR TO REGISTRATION.

FORMAT

4 Games Guaranteed

All brackets will offer a round robin format

All round robin matches, with the exception of a 3-team bracket, will be one game to 15, win by two points. The pre-medal matches, and bronze matches will be one game to 15. Gold medal matches

TBD depending on number of matches that day.

3 TEAM/PLAYER BRACKET

If there are three (3) teams/players in a bracket, the bracket will be a double Round Robin group. All three (3) Teams/Players will advance to the playoff stage of the bracket.

4 to 7 TEAM/PLAYER BRACKET:

If there are four (4) to seven (7) teams/players in a bracket, the bracket will be a singular Round Robin group. The top four teams will advance to the playoff stage of the bracket.

8 to 9 TEAM/PLAYER BRACKET:

Brackets of 8 & 9 may be put in 2 pools with 4 teams in each pool advancing to a medal round.

10 + TEAM/PLAYER BRACKET:

If there are ten (10) or more teams/players in a bracket, the bracket will be split into two (2) Round Robin Pools. The top four teams (2 from each pool) will advance to the playoff stage of the bracket.

FINAL STANDINGS

Calculated by finishing position in the playoff stage. Players that do not advance to the playoff stage of the bracket will be ranked by the following tie breaker system: Rank order in the standings is determined by:

Greatest number of matches won

Head-to-head matches won among the tied players/teams (if applicable)

Point differential of all games played

Head-to-head point differential

Point differential against the next-highest player/team

TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR HAS THE RIGHT TO CHANGE THE FORMAT BASED ON COURT AVAILABILITY AND NUMBER OF MATCHES EACH DAY.

TEAMS WILL BE AWARDED MEDALS BASED ON THE BRACKET THEY ORIGINALLY REGISTERED FOR BEFORE BEING MERGED.

COST: $60 INCLUDES REGISTRATION, DRI FIT SHIRT, AND BOTH GENDER AND MIXED DOUBLES EVENTS!

At checkout you will be charged an additional $5/event ($10 if entering 2 events) on top of the registration fee. This fee is collected by pickleballtournaments.com. for software usage and rental and is nonrefundable.

SANCTIONING

This year's tournament will be sanctioned by Southern Pickleball. All medal winners will become eligible to play in the 2025 Southern Pickleball Championships December 31-January 4 at Rhythm and Rally 32 court complex in Macon, Ga. A team must play at the skill level of the higher rated player (or higher) and the age group of the younger player. Age is calculated as of 12/31/2025.

RATINGS

- DUPR ratings will be used.

- Tournament Director reserves the right to move a player to a higher/lower level at their discretion

You may register and identify your partner or request ""Need partner"". Your partner must register within five days of your registration, or the team will be moved to the wait list. When the identified partner registers after the five-day grace period, the team will automatically move from the wait list back to the active list if there is a slot available and both teams have paid. NOTE: Your spot in the tournament is not guaranteed until your partner has registered, and all fees have been paid in full.

All players will abide by 2025 USA Pickleball Rulebook. This includes playing with USA Pickleball approved paddles. The Tournament Director should be notified of anyone who is suspected of non-compliance of the rules.

There are no referees. Matches are self-monitored. If a referee is requested, we will do our best to provide one.

As a partner with Southern Pickleball, we will be using the Neon Green Diadem Official Pickleball as our Tournament Ball.

Refund Policy

Withdraw deadline is October 10 at midnight. Players may withdraw prior to midnight on October10 for any reason and receive a refund minus a $20 administrative fee. After October 10, there are no refunds for any reason. Additionally, player registration fees may not be transferred to other players.

Inclement weather policy - This is an outdoor tournament. If weather is a factor, we will do all we can to allow play to continue, including modifying the format of the tournament, if necessary. There will be no refunds or credits due to weather or other uncontrollable events.

We will have medical staff on call as well as identify participants who are medical personnel to assist with emergencies. We also will have a stocked first aid station on site.
