The Montgomery TennisPlex Senior Scrimmage is for players 50 years old and up, and is supported by the US Senior Pickleball (USSP) organization. The tournament will take place at the Montgomery TennisPlex in Boyds, MD on May 2-3. Brackets will be in Women's Doubles, Men's Doubles, and Mixed Doubles, split into 3 age categories (50-59, 60-69, and 70+) with ages based on the player's age as of December 31, 2026. There will also be 2 skill levels (3.499 DUPR and below, 3.500 DUPR and above). It is important to note that scores from this event will NOT be submitted to DUPR. All players are guaranteed at least 3 games in each bracket signed up for, with games up to 15, win by 2.
This tournament will be a great warmup for those playing in the Maryland Senior Olympics later in May, as well as others looking for a good indoor tournament in May. The tournament is very inexpensive with a fee of just $25 per player, per event, with an additional Pickleball.com service fee of $5 per player, per event.
The Tournament Direction has the discretion to merge brackets to ensure everyone can play a minimum of 3 games. All decisions by the Tournament Director are final.
Registration will open at 9:00 am Eastern Time on March 11, 2026 and close at 5:00 pm on April 26, 2026.
