Serving for Safety Pickleball Tournament
Metro 911 of Kanawha County, WV is holding its Inaugural Pickleball Tournament Fund Raiser at the Brand-New Nitro, WV Pickleball Facility. This tournament is open to everyone, any age and all skill levels (beginner to pro). In order to participate in this tournament, you must sign up online by July 7, 2023 at 8:00 AM.
Friday July 21, 2023: Community Night 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
We’re excited to host our first ever pickleball tournament at the brand-new and largest pickleball facility in WV! Friday night is Community Night, where we invite everyone to join us for a great time (even those who are not signed up for the tournament are welcome to come)! We welcome everyone to come out and join us for some live music and tons of FUN! Chick-fil-a and Dem 2 Brothers will be on site with great food available for purchase. The pool and splash park will be free for all to use. We have partnered with Putnam County Humane Society, where they will be bringing some fur babies out who need their forever homes. The Metro 911 Employee Association will be covering all adoption fees! Charleston Fire Department will have their Fire Safety House on site for the little ones to enjoy and we will have SEVERAL local first responder agencies on site with their emergency vehicles as well. We will also be holding a pickle eating contest, where the winner will receive a $100 cash prize! Everyone is encouraged to attend, as this will be a great way to socialize with other players and get it some practice for Saturday and Sunday’s tournaments. We will even be providing pickleball lessons for beginners! Come out and join us Friday night for some great family fun!
Saturday July 22, 2023:
Random Drawings will be held for all participants on Saturday around noon. We will be giving away door prizes that include ten Selkirk Power Air and ten Joola Ben Johns pickleball paddles (each with a value over $200) along with other great prizes. Must be a registered tournament player to win.

Groups of 5 or less will play round robin
Groups of 6 or more play double elimination bracket
Groups of 10 or more will be broken into individual pools using the above criteria.
