This is a Skill Level tournament. Registration is by Skill Level.
Registration starts at 8:00 am (CST) on Monday, October 30th, 2023.
Cost $40.00 per person for one event, $65 per person if playing doubles and mixed doubles. If playing two events, you must register for a men’s or women’s doubles and mixed. You may not register for two different men’s or women’s doubles events. All players will receive tournament T-shirt with registration. Shirts will be given out at registration.
Free open play (first come/first serve) for all tourney entrants on Friday, December 1st from 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm.
All matches will be played INDOORS on Shadow Valley's indoor tennis hard courts with portable nets and taped lines.
All Round Robin Events will be given 3 courts to play on until the round robin is complete. Most round robin brackets will take around four hours to finish.
Tournament ball: Selkirk Competition.
Doubles partners must sign up at the skill level of the higher rated partner. One partner must be rated the level of the division, the other partner may be rated a maximum of 1.0 difference. Example: 3.5 player registers for 3.5 mixed, their partner would be allowed to be rated 2.5, 3.0 or 3.5. Please use your published Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating (DUPR). If you do not have a Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating, then you can self-rate.
To guarantee a spot in the tournament, the second partner must sign up and pay within 2 days of the first partner's registration. Incomplete teams will be moved to the waiting list after 2 days. Once the second partner registers, the team will be moved back into the event IF THERE ARE SPOTS LEFT IN THE TOURNAMENT AND THE EVENT.
Round Robin format for all events. Medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
If an event has 3 teams entered, the event will be a double round robin with matches consisting of 1 game to 15 points (win by 1). Medals determined by round robin standings - no medal rounds.
If an event has 4 teams entered, the event will be a double round robin with matches consisting of one game to 11 points (win by 1). Medals determined by round robin standings - no medal rounds.
If an event has 5 teams entered, the event will be a single round robin with matches consisting of 1 game to 15 points (win by 1). Medals determined by round robin standings - no medal rounds.
If an event has 6 to 8 teams entered, the event will be a single round robin with matches consisting of one game to 11 points (win by 1). Medals determined by round robin standings - no medal rounds.

Tiebreaker Procedures
Tournament will use the IFP Standard regarding tiebreakers.
If two or more teams are tied in round robin/pool play, the tiebreaker(s) used will be:
1. Head-to-head record (of the tied teams) and if still tied,
2. Point differential of *ALL games played in round robin/pool play (NOT just the games involving the tied teams) and if still tied,
3. Head-to-head point differential (of the tied teams) and if still tied,
4. Point differential against next highest team (if teams are tied for second, use the point differential against the first-place team).
* For tiebreaker procedures, if a team retires/withdraws before completing round robin/pool play, all results involving that team will be nullified.
