Bracket size:
4 Teams: Round-robin play 1 pool (1 game to 11, win by 2) to determine seeding. All teams advance to playoffs.
5-7 Teams: Round-robin play 1 pool (1 game to 11, win by 2). Top 4 teams advance to playoffs.
8-10 Teams: Divisions split into 2 pools. Pool play games to 15 (win by 1). Top 2 teams from each pool advance to playoffs.
11 Teams: Divisions split into 2 pools. Pool play games to 11 (win by 2). Top 2 teams from each pool advance to playoffs.
12-15 Teams: Divisions split into 3 pools. Pool play games to 15 (win by 1). Top 2 teams from each pool advance to playoffs.
16 Teams: Divisions split into 4 pools. Pool play games to 15 (win by 1). 1st place teams from each pool advance to playoffs.
Playoffs: Games to 15 win by 2
Medal Matches:
Gold Medal Matches: Best 2 out of 3 games to 11 (win by 2).
Bronze Medal Matches: 1 game to 15 (win by 2).
