This will be a team style tournament. It will include 3 events. Men's Team, Women's Team, and Mixed Team.
This will be a DUPR event. Players will need a DUPR Id and scores will be submitted to DUPR.
This will be a paperless event. All matches, court assignments, and scoring will sent to your cell phone. Scores will be entered by cell phone. Make sure at least one person on each team has a cell phone for each game and before submitting scores check with the opposing team to make sure entered scores are correct.
The men's and women's events will be 3 person teams. Each event will have 3 divisions. Each division will have a DUPR cap which will be the total DUPR rating of all players on the team. The DUPR cap for each division will be as follows: Team DUPR 10, Team DUPR 11, and Team DUPR 12+.
Each match will consist of 3 games of Side out Scoring Doubles games. Each player will play 2 games, 1 game with each partner. The matches will be round robin style. Each division must have a minimum of 3 teams. In the case of larger divisions a pool system will be used. The round robin will be a qualifier for play offs.
The mixed event will be 4 person teams, 2 men and 2 women per team. The mixed event will have 3 divisions for registrations. Each divsion will have a Team DUPR cap as follows; Team DUPR 12, Team DUPR 13, and Team DUPR 14+.
The mixed event will be a more traditional team format. Each division will require a minimum of 3 teams. Each division will be round robin play leading to play offs. Pools may be used in larger divisions.
Each match will consist of 4 games using side out scoring, women vs women, men vs men, mixed 1 and mixed 2. In the event that each team in a match wins 2 games a dream breaker game will be played to determine the match winner. The dream breaker will be played using rally scoring.
Free agents will be allowed to register for the tournament. A free agent is a player that cannot find a team to play on. Each team in the men's and women's events will be allowed a maximum of 1 free agent per team or a team may be made up entirely of free agent's. The mixed events will be allowed 1 male and 1 female free agent per team or the whole team can be made up of free agents.
