We have closed most brackets. The waitlist is still available, and we will look to add teams from the waitlist when bracket formats and court space allows. For doubles events, both players must be registered in order to be considered to be moved off the waitlist.

Players must have won a medal in a Southern Pickleball tournament to participate in this tournament. Players that have medaled may partner with players that have not medaled as long as the player they are playing with has played in a Southern Pickleball tournament.

Friday, January 3rd - Men's and Women's Singles - BRACKETS MAY BEGIN AS EARLY AS 8am or as late as 4PM.

Saturday, January 4th - Men's and Women's Doubles - PLAY MAY BEGIN AS EARLY AS 7am or as late as 7pm.

Sunday, January 5th - Mixed Doubles - BRACKETS MAY BEGIN AS EARLLY AS 7AM or as late as 3PM.

START TIMES will be posted no later than Monday December 23rd at noon.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are Joola Gen 3s paddles approved for use in this tournament?

NO. Only paddles that are currently on the USA Pickleball Approved Paddle List are allowed for the Southern Championships. Any player found playing with an unapproved paddle during a tournament game will forfeit that game.

If I medaled in Mixed Doubles in a Southern Pickleball Tournament – can I also register for Mens/Womens Doubles and/or Singles?

Yes, if you have medaled in Mixed Doubles– you can also register for Mens/Womens Doubles and/or singles.

If I medaled in a Southern Pickleball Tournament, do I have to play with the same partner that I medaled with?

You do not have to play with the same partner that you medaled with however the new partner must have played in at least one Southern Pickleball Tournament in 2024.

Do I have to play the same level (i.e. 3.0/3.5/4.0, etc.) that I medaled in?

You need to play at the same level or the higher level that you qualify for either using your DUPR Rating.

Southern Pickleball will be using DUPR Ratings. You must have a DUPR ID to register. All matches will be reported to DUPR.

Cancellation deadline is 9pm December 14, 2024. No refunds for any reason after that date. Cancellations prior to that date are subject to a $15 administration fee. Your spot in the tournament is not guaranteed until your partner has registered and all fees have been paid in full.

Tournament insurance is available to players at check out. Tournament insurance covers refunds to players who become sick, injured or whose partner has to withdraw suddenly. This is an indoor tournament and rain should not be a factor. However, if weather becomes an issue and the tournament is unable to be played due to safety concerns for the participants, tournament insurance would be necessary for players to be refunded their entry fee. A player's tournament registration is non-transferable.

Tournament Director reserves the right to change format, shorten games, or make any other changes they feel will help complete the event.

Players who do not show up for their event and fail to notify the tournament director prior OR leave the event without notifying the tournament director after it has started are subject to a $25 fine. The fine must be paid before registering for any other Southern Pickleball events.

ALL REFUNDS will be sent within 7 days after the tournament is completed.
