Come join us for the fourth annual fun filled Southwest Organ Mountains Open pickleball tournament presented by Encanto Dental. This is THE premier event hosted by Organ Mountains Pickleball Club (OMPC). The 2025 SOMO is a NON sanctioned event. Everyone is looking forward to welcoming our previous participants as well as greeting all the new players we expect.

This year, we will be utilizing text messaging for court assignments and playing times. Please be sure to check YES to receive in game texts when you set up your profile on PBBrackets.com. It is important for players to understand their personal text charges prior to allowing texts.

The cost for tournament participant registration is $60.00 which includes 2 events. You may sign up for a maximum of 3 (three) events, with the third event having an additional fee of $20.00. For OMPC members, OMPC will provide you with a Discount Code to receive a $10.00 discount when registering for the 2025 Southwest Organ Mountains Open Pickleball Tournament on www.pickleballtournaments.com website.

When registering there is a service charge of $5.00 per event with a maximum of $10.00 on top of the registration fees. The $5.00 - $10.00 "Registration Fee" goes to PB Tournaments and not OMPC.

This is a NON-SANCTIONED Round Robin Pickleball Tournament following MMP USA Pickleball Rules with playoffs for Gold/Silver/ Bronze Medals. This is a DUPR rated tournament, and ratings will be used for registration and sign-ups.

If you have a pickleballtournament profile, you must have your DUPR account attached to your profile to register (www.dupr.com). If you do not already have a pickleballtournament account you will be prompted to set up an account and password. This process will simultaneously create a DUPR account for you.

Players may play in skill level events at, or 1.0 above, their current DUPR or initial self-rating, at the time of registration. Players may not play below their DUPR rating or initial self-rating on file.

Check-in opens each day at 7:00am. Check-in at least 30 minutes prior to your event start time each day.

Event start times will be posted on this website the week of the tournament.

This skill/age tournament will play all events in a round robin format with playoffs with some referees for pre-medal matches and the Gold/Silver/Bronze Medal rounds. The initial age brackets are (12-39), (40-59),(60-69) (70+).

AGE BRACKETS WILL BE BROKEN DOWN BASED ON ENTRIES: Additional age brackets may be added based on registrations. Example: 50-55, 55-59, 60-65, 65-69, 70-75, 75-80 & 80+ This will be based on the amount of entries within the age and division. Divisions may need to be combined within skills and age groups. Example 2.5/3.0, 3.0/3.5 4.0/4.5 .

***All gold medal matches are offered at 2/3-11 win by 2 unless the TD needs to make a change due to weather/time issues. We will offer the 1-15 win by 2 as an alternative on a case-by-case basis***

3 teams are a double round robin 1-15 win by 2 switch ends at 8 - all teams to playoffs. The top team based on results will have a bye while the bronze match of the 2nd & 3rd place teams play the bronze match 1-15 win by 2. The winner of that goes to play the gold match with the team that was on the bye.

4 to 9 teams are pool dependent games either 1-11 win by 2 switch at 6 or 1-15 win by 2 switch ends at 8. The top four teams move forward to the playoffs. The top winners from each pool play each other for Gold best 2/3 -11 win by 2, and only switch at 6 on the third game. Both second place winners play for Bronze 1-15 win by 2 switch ends at 8.

10 or more teams are split into pools. The matches depend on the number of teams (see above). Games are either 1-11 win by 2 switch ends at 6 or 1-15 win by 2 switch at 8. Only the top two from each pool move forward. The top team from each pool play each other for Gold best 2/3 -11 win by 2, and only switch ends at 6 on the 3rd game. Both second place winners play for Bronze 1-15 win by 2 switch ends at 8.

Tournament Director reserves the right to combine or split events, change playoffs, or close events when courts are at capacity even if an event is not full, and change format based on enrollment.

This is an outdoor event and we have no control over the weather. In case of delay, we will try to do everything possible to reschedule all matches on the same day they were originally planned. In case of cancellation there will be no refunds.

Any cancellations prior to October 10, 2025, will be made minus a $10.00 administrative fee to process cancellations or withdrawals.

No refunds after October 10, 2025, unless cancelled by OMPC.

Any weather related information will be posted here. Notification of any cancellation or weather delay will be found here. We will attempt to post any information at least 1 hour prior to your assigned check-in and warm up time.

The weather is unpredictable but it is usually a nice crisp Fall temperature of 60 or so with warming later in the day.

All entries must include a "Contact in case of emergency" designee.
