11:20am: 59+ Mixed Doubles, 3.5 Mixed Doubles

2:40pm: 3.5 Men’s/Women’s Doubles

SUNDAY

8am: 3.0 Men’s/Women’s Doubles

12pm: Newbie Men’s/Women's Doubles (Rotating Partner), 3.0 Mixed Doubles

4pm: Newbies Mixed Doubles (Rotating Partner), Open Men’s Doubles for PRIZE MONEY

We have joined forces with the U.S. Junior Pickleball Organization (non-profit) presented by Selkirk! They will be joining us on SUNDAY. On SUNDAY there will be fun raffles and awesome prizes (Selkirk wink* wink*), a 50/50 raffle, bake sale, and MORE fun for everyone included from players to spectators!

– Please allow 3.5 hours for your division to run from start to finish

– The division times are subject to change based on participant registration*

– Participants will be emailed their division start time after the registration close date has passed

Divisions are set-partner Round Robin (play every team), ensuring plenty of pickleball and minimal waiting time with medal rounds for Gold, Silver, and Bronze. EXCEPT for beginner divisions that are rotating partner Round Robin (switch partners to play with every person). There are no medal rounds for beginner divisions, but top 3 players will receive medals.

Divisions that have 4 or fewer teams will play a double round robin (play every team twice)

Prior to the tournament please complete the following:

Results will be uploaded to DUPR. Please join the “PUP” club on DUPR prior to the tournament.

1. Log in/Create a DUPR account https://dashboard.dupr.com/login

2. Verify your account through your email

3. Click the “Play” or “Clubs” icon (on the left if on a Mac/PC or on the bottom right if on a mobile device)

4. Search “PUP” or “Point Up Pickleball”. Make sure the logo matches and the location says Orange County and click the club.

5. Click Join Club

Point Up Pickleball (PUP) tournaments and the U.S. Junior Pickleball Organization (USJPO) by Selkirk are SO excited to have you!

1. Divisions are DUPR ratings

- your team’s DUPR rating average will be calculated. If your average is higher than the division, you will be placed in the appropriate division.

- If you have never played in a DUPR rated event or do not have a rating, you can self rate yourself and enter the division(s) you see best fit you!

- Non-rated-2.99: Newbie, beginner

- 3.0-3.49: Advanced Beginner to Intermediate

- 3.5-3.99: Intermediate

- 4.0+: Advanced

Any players rated above 4.0 will have to enter an “OPEN” (ex. Prize Money division)

2. For age-related divisions, the participant must fall within the division age by Dec. 31st, 2025

3. The ball used is a Franklin X40 Yellow ball. Please DO NOT wear yellow clothing similar to the color of the ball

4. Game scoring

- Games are first to 11 points; win by 2 points

- Switch ends when the first team gets to 6 points

5. Time-Outs

- 1 minute break is allotted when switching ends

- Each team is allotted one 1-minute time out per match if they choose to take it

6. Inputting Scores

- One person from every game will bring a score card back to the check-in table. The score card should include Division, Date, All players First initial and last name, and score.

7. Medal Match Scoring

- Gold and Bronze medal matches are first to 15 points; win by 2 points

- Medal matches are dependent upon time availability and participant registrations

- 1st and 2nd place from every division will play for Gold/Silver

- 3rd and 4th place from every division will play for Bronze

- If there are only 3 people in your division 1st place will go straight to the Gold medal match. 2nd and 3rd place will go to a semi-final. The winner of the semi-final will play 1st place for Gold. The loser of the semi-final will be awarded a Bronze medal.

Refunds are available for:

- Events that do not proceed due to insufficient numbers

- Medical reasons with a doctor's note

- Any withdrawal up 7 days before the start of the tournament weekend will choose to receive a full refund or credit to another PUP event

- Any withdrawal up to 3 days before the start of the tournament weekend will only receive 1/2 credit to another PUP event

- There are no refunds due to weather delays or match delays. However, a credit would be considered for another PUP event depending on the circumstances.

If you are registered for an event that does not have enough participants, a PUP tournament director will reach out to you. You will be offered a full refund, credit towards another PUP event, or the option to play in the combined division and try your best.

Any Refunds/Credits are subject to a $5 Admin fee (includes Stripe Fee)

Prize Money is pooled from the extra $25/player Prize Money fee added to the registration fee. With a full pool of 8 teams, the prize money pool will be at a minimum of $400. Prize money pool may be higher depending on sponsorships.

1st place: 60%

2nd place: 30%

3rd place: 10%

Snacks and water will be provided for the players. Please pack your own sunscreen and other essentials.
