Format of Play (DUPR 7, 8, 9)
*We will use your current DUPR at the time of registration, no exceptions will be made
This a Co-Ed Doubles format (any age, any gender combination) that features 3 different division levels.
DUPR 7 Co-Ed (9 teams/8 games/1 winner)
*combined DUPR at the time of registration is 7.25 and under, individual player DUPR may not exceed a 4.00
DUPR 8 Co-Ed (9 teams/8 games/1 winner)
*combined DUPR at the time of registration is 8.25 and under, individual player DUPR may not exceed a 4.50
DUPR 9 Co-Ed (9 teams/8 games/1 winner)
*combined DUPR at the time of registration is 9.25 and under, individual player DUPR may not exceed a 5.00
Games/Scoring
Prior to the start of each game, teams will need to determine serve or side. The team that wins the "coin toss" will decide if they want to serve or choose a side. All round robin games a 1 game to 11 (win by 1) using standard scoring. Games to 11 will need to switch sides at 6 and must remember their court positions as they move to the other side.
Round Robin Play
This will be a round-robin style tournament where you will play each team in your division. There will one winner to be determined by Wins, Head to Head, and Point Differential. Cash prize for 1st place is $250.00 per team. Estimated time is 3-4 hours from completion.
If a player does not have a DUPR account or a rating, the tournament director will "self-rate" the player based on prior open play performance, league performance and feedback from peers.
**Scores will be entered into DUPR with 3 days after the conclusion of the event.
Paddle Policy & Equipment Compliance
All players must use paddles that are approved by USA Pickleball and comply with current equipment standards. Players are responsible for ensuring their paddle is legal for tournament play prior to competition.
If a player is found using a non-approved paddle:
1st Offense: The player must immediately switch to an approved paddle before continuing play.
2nd Offense: The player will forfeit the match for their team and will be eliminated from the remainder of the competition.
Tournament officials reserve the right to inspect paddles at any time. Play fair. Play legal. Compete with integrity.
