All division Round Robins will begin at 7pm sharp.
Please arrive 30 minutes prior to check in.
Courts will be available from around 6:40 for warm-ups.
The medal round robins will begin around 9pm, and finish by 10pm.
* This is not a PAA sanctioned tournament. Rather, it is a fun and sociable tournament designed to bring some variety and networking opportunities to the Sydney pickleball community.
FAQ's
Q. Do I need a partner to play?
A. No! With this format, you register individually, and will play with and against all other players in your pool.
Q. Do I need to be a member of SIWPC to compete?
A. No, it is open to all, but you do need Pickleball Australia membership (most club memberships include this).
Q. Can I "play up"? e.g. my DUPR is 2.9, can I play in the 3.0+ division?
A. No, not in this tournament. The format is Scramble, meaning you will be playing with multiple parters that you haven't chosen. To be fair, we cannot force players to parter with lower-rated players.
Q. Why are there only 3 divisions? Why not 2.99 and below, why not mens/womens etc?
A. This is a very small scale tournament. It only runs for 3 hours, versus 3 days or more for larger tournaments with a range of divisions. (that said, if we have low interest on one of the existing divisions, we may make changes to the divisions, by adding new ones and/or merging others)
